Re: Should the Redskins make a run at Brady Quinn?
But seriously, everyone is blowing loads over Brady Quinn this year. Why is he the BEST QB the draft has seen in years all of a sudden?
he has been effectively running Charlie(sp) Weiss' Offensive system and I think if you can do that effectively, like he has been, it could be worth possibly "blowing a load" over. lol.....and im a big ND fan so, that doesnt help my postion on Quinn....we wont get him but, as long as he doesnt end up in our Div. its all good.... |
Re: Should the Redskins make a run at Brady Quinn?
Theismann was the best qb in the last 20 yrs. If we had joe our record would be a whole lot better.
you finally did it! or did you simply forget?
No I didn't forget, I'm just tryin' to keep the peace! I'm not the reason we suck right now! |
But seriously, everyone is blowing loads over Brady Quinn this year. Why is he the BEST QB the draft has seen in years all of a sudden?
The UCLA game. He got his ass kicked all day, pretty much every play, and faced with insurmountable pressure and odds witha minute to go, drove his offense 80 yards in 3 plays and only 35 seconds.
Quinn is a 4 year starter at a top program who plays a difficult schedule every season and he has the college production to make stats people drool and makes the scouts oggle over his sexy footwork and outstanding pocket presence and intangibles. Not to mention he would be a good fit in any NFL offense. I don't think he should get the Heisman because Troy Smith is having a better year, but it wouldn't be farfetched to say that Brady Quinn is the best player in college football. He's not going to be the greatest NFL QB ever, but he will be a franchise QB for someone. |
Re: Should the Redskins make a run at Brady Quinn?
i may be wrong. but, i thought in the trade for duckett we have to trade our first round pick to denver since we will have a worse record. i'd rather see campell play before thinking about drafting another quarterback anyway.

If we both make the playoffs, but they have a better record, we would exchange picks and keep our third rounder. If not, we give them our third for Duckett. Personally, I would like to see us make the playoffs and swap first rounders with Denver because it means we could keep our third rounder.

we can only swap if the value difference in first round picks does not exceed the value of a 3rd round pick (ie if we had #21 and they had #28, we could swap, but not from #10 to #26 or something like that). |

Re: Should the Redskins make a run at Brady Quinn?
You know things are going south when you're talking draft in October. For my 2 cents I say we get Alan Branch from Michigan, he's a beast.

Re: Should the Redskins make a run at Brady Quinn?
either way i'd rather see campell play before we start thinking about drafting another quarterback. thanks for clearing up the trade thing.

Re: Should the Redskins make a run at Brady Quinn?
AND, to answer the question, no. We've given up most of our draft picks and to move into a round low enough to get him (even if we wanted to) we'd basically have to trade half our team and like all our picks forever.

Re: Should the Redskins make a run at Brady Quinn?
i think quinn pitcock is rated higher than him (if branch declares). pitcock is fast, branch is huge.
