Crap, you know what those two points made me ask myself:

Did someone tell Donovan about the new OT rules? Damn I hope he knows we need a TD on the first possession!(in post season)
It's okay. We can blame it on "organizational instability".
Ok, what you posted about him missing read and stuff is once again irrelevant to the fact JC didn't lose 12 games by himself either. So when you pick out certain plays out the season as note the Landry double move against the Saints was on JC, Kareem Moore Int- Td error was on JC, Sellers fumble was on JC as well. It's not hard to pick out bad plays everyone had them.
No, but Jason Campbell is not the only reason they lose games, but he is a huge part of them. The bane of this team has been the offense, and the bane of the offense has been the passing game, and the bane of the passing game has been Jason Campbell.

Isn't it funny how Chris Cooley, Santana Moss, Chris Samuels, and Clinton Portis have all succeeded in various situations with various quarterbacks and various coaches, yet when it's with Jason Campbell, they are just not good enough.

I think you'd be hard pressed to blame Portis' issues on Campbell.

I'm not surprised either. That Audi post was kinda silly. People screamed at Brunell for not going deep jsut like they do Campbell. They dismissed his completion record as if they were all dump offs to portis and betts or something.

As for Collins, the WHOLE TEAM fought for those wins. Todd didn't have any remarkable plays where he won the game or anything like that. The D shut teams down and Todd did what a backup is supposed to do, not be the guy that loses the game.

You want a real view of Todd, look at that ugly stank@$$ performance in the playoff game! Once he threw that first ugly pick he turned into Heath Schuler, Jay Schreoder, and BAD Brett Favre put together! He was acting too scared, throwing ugly crap, and when he DID try it was ridiculous! I wish Campbell was in that game. When he throws a pick, he comes back in and doesn't let it kill his whole game like a true professional. Campbell ain't the best, but he doesnt' get worse after getting hit or throwing a pick. Todd Collins... Pssshh... good ridance

If someone is a backup for a decade, theres probably a good reason for it

I want to see a play action that looks even remotely like it might be a handoff for the first time in years.

Cooley has truly proven that he can succeed with anyone. At one point (2005) Moss was that type of player but has since gone back to the "I'm good but need a really good QB to show that" category. Samuels impact on the team isn't very dependent on who plays QB. Portis is getting close to the end but should be better in a stable.

Now that you mention it I did see a lot of back and fourth between Tripp and Sammy during the first McNabb thread.

I don't think he'd like that.

Thanks for proving my point. If Todd Collins is as bad as you say he is, then the team was still good enough to make it to the playoffs, something Jason Campbell was unable to do, which means he wasn't even as good as "ugly stank@$$" Todd Collins, and that Campbell was in fact not in a terrible situation that hindered him from showing his potential.
The Cerrato/Snyder regime's failures culminated in one year and that's 2009.

Mark Brunell and Todd Collins are proof that you don't need Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, or Drew Brees to overcome the "terrible situation" that Jason Campbell was placed in. Even Patrick Ramsey did better with worse.

Don't let your hate for Cerrato/Snyder blind you from Jason Campbell's shortcomings. The evidence is there.
I think you are letting your hate for Campbell blind you of the Cerrato/Snyder shortcomings. I am by no means blinded of Campbell's shortcomings, as a matter of fact, I see Campbell as a result of the terrible decisions made by Cerrato and Snyder.

Todd Collins played only in four games and then laid a turd during the playoffs and that was the end of him. Mark Brunell was an aging QB that was taking by Gibbs and was kept on as a starter for way too long. You call those two a success?

Once again, narrow minded people will dismiss the mistake that was the Cerrato/Snyder regime only to satisfy their petty bias of one player. Just stop your arguments, you're just embarrassing yourself.

If you want to point out Campbell mistakes, that's fine with me. No one here is saying he's a good QB. But don't pretend like he or any QB that has been on this team was under any good situation under the previous front office.

I'm saying Mark Brunell and Todd Collins had success with a team that you claimed was impossible for any other quarterback besides Brees/Brady/Manning, and therefore it should not be held against Jason Campbell. Try reading my post more thoroughly, which you admitted to not doing, and also rereading your own posts to see what I'm replying to. I have quoted your post for easy reference.

I see what you are saying, but I feel that you are making a weak argument by saying that what Brunell and Todd Collins did would be consider a success. Burnell's Redskins were a marginal playoff team and Todd Collins got four good games and lost in the first round of the playoffs. Our team has been losing so much, that this small feat alone is considered success.

Bottom line, both the terrible decision maker that was the lowlight of the front office in the past 10 years is gone, and soon so will the mediocre QB that was a product of that terrible front office (along with the terrible decisions, terrible transactions, etc., etc.).

I agree, but to be honest I'm not completely sold on Mike Shanahan yet as a front office decision maker. I think we can both agree when we say that we'll both be happy when we start winning and achieve the ultimate success, which is a Super Bowl.

For the life of me, I don't understand why so many people on here act like immature high school kids, arguing over petty points like "my Dad can beat up Your Dad". If you are a true Redskins fan, then you should be happy that your team now has a Pro Bowl quarterback. A quarterback with NFC championship experience, and MULTIPLE playoff appearances. A leader. A guy who can read a defense. A guy who is confident. All these things McNabb brings to the table. Jason Campbell had none of these things. That is not even something anybody can argue about. The Redskins are a BETTER team this week than they were last week. That is not even something anybody can argue with. Those are the simple facts, and there is nothing to argue about. Just celebrate.
