Re: Redskins Final Cuts
As I have said all along, Banks is not a WR. He hasn't taken a snap at WR all preseason. He's a KR and shouldn't count amongst the WR's.
That said, 7 WR's is still one too many. As to Nield, as much as he was my late round man crush, I am worried about him at No.2 NT. From what I saw, he played way too high and got pushed around a bit. Hopefully, coaches are seeing something I am not.
The guy does play with a nasty streak, if he can get his technique down he could be a good filler in the middle. He is also the kind of guy who is going to do what ever it takes to stay on this team. |

I agree - but, at this point, he seems a huge drop off from Cofield. A year on the PS would have been a real benefit IMHO. |

Agreed, he is no Cofield. There may have been interest from other teams and that would have procluded us from stashing him on the PS. Haslett I would think would be the coach who made the call to keep him. There must be something they all saw. |
Re: Redskins Final Cuts
So, right now, who are the back ups on OL?
Cook apparently have made it - who else? Locklear? Hicks to be traded/cut, Hurt to the PS. |
Re: Redskins Final Cuts
with Russell and Horton cut, Im guessing Gomes is in...maybe even Doughty:(

Re: Redskins Final Cuts
Also, on the Nield keep, maybe they see Golston/Nield as backups at NT and good 4-3 DT rotation.

Nield and Barry are the only "true" NT, though I imagine Has will slide someone else in there. I don't think the roster is set though. |

Atleast until we trade him to the texans. |
Your aren't the only one buddy. I am still very pleased as to what we are doing here. I am not sold on the team, there are still major areas of need, but we are officially rebuilding and this is part of the process. We could not completely revamp the whole team in one offseason. BUT it has begun. I am totally and fully on board with the program as a fan.
They aren't rebuilding if they're keeping old ass Sellers and going-to-get-old-soon Stallworth. |

I think when you keep 8 (not including Jarvis Jenkins) draft picks and another undrafted rookie make your team, ship off last year's QB, install an entirely new backfield, that again has two rookies....I could keep going but you get the point. Three 7th round picks made the team. I think we're rebuilding is my point. |
