Re: Week 10 Gameday Thread- Lions @Commaanders
According to ESPN Research this is the second time in franchise history that Washington has lost four straight by 20+ points (1954). It's also the most points they've allowed over a four-game stretch since 1954.
Good grief. |

Totally disagree w/ that. It's year two and your 2024 drafted players, especially the higher picks need to show something. They SHOULD be showing something. Sainristil, Newton, Coleman, Luke and Sinnott are basically giving you nothing. That's 5 high draft picks from last year that are not helping your team. Luke was ok but you can find that guy anywhere. He's just a JAG. Newton? Nothing. Sinnott? Nothing. Coleman? Very little. Sainristil has totally gone in the toilet. |

You’re certainly going glass half empty right now, things could look a lot different next year. McCaffery has been great on special teams, Coleman started 12 games as a rookie. Sainistril has been a victim of a bad defensive scheme. It’s too early to write these guys off. |
Generally a 30% hit rate is a good draft, meaning they are starters at the very least
Of the 9 picks last year Daniels and Sainistril are hits, Coleman and McCaffery have been contributors, Sinnott and Macgee have started to see more playing time, and the rest are up in the air. I think another full season is needed to fairly judge this class, but so far is it really that “sus”?
Sainristil has been TERRIBLE this year. I don't consider him a hit. 92nd out of 106 in PFF. But even just the eye test, he is getting smoked constantly. I still agree that they should all get one more season, including him, before making any long-term decisions. But the 2024 class is not looking very good imo. I'm curious to know if Kliff just doesn't like Sinnott or if the whole staff just doesn't think he is ready to play. We need athletes on the field and he is by far the best one in the TE room. Would really like to see him get more balls thrown his way. |
Re: Week 10 Gameday Thread- Lions @Commaanders
I still have a lot of hope for these guys. I think the coaching is completely a problem on defense. The secondary coach is a clown, Whitt has no clue what he is doing

If he is not on Sun that is a real bad sign. I've seen enough of Ertz. He's been ok but you have a 2nd round draft pick in his 2nd year, he rarely plays and the team sucks. |

Tough to shine in a dogshit scheme when your job depends so much on everyone around you. |

I hope you're right. He seems to have the physical tools and is an extremely likeable human being. I want him to be awesome. It's official that we will have a new DC next season. So hopefully we see improvement across the board from all the young defenders. |

100% on this. Hes made plays at times and some of our only miserable # of turnovers this season. This defense is LOST... it aint on Mikey at all. |

Might be a fast healer. Wholly agree that some, if not all, our young guys can be better in a better scheme. We'll only know when we get rid of Whitt (and any other coaches that are not contributing). For a team that's produced very good, if not great coaches, we sure have had problems finding them in a while. |

This. People need to understand the draft is a crap shoot at best, which is why you need all the picks you can get. Not all drafts are equal in talent either. That said, it's kinda rare that rookies come in and make breaking impacts in the game right away. Some do, most don't. |
Re: Week 10 Gameday Thread- Lions @Commaanders
So Daron Payne posted on IG that St. Brown hit him first and right in front of the ref. It is exactly what Kinlaw said too. And that is exactly what the video he posted showed. It doesn't justify the punch -- it's always the second guy who gets flagged -- but it was literally right in front of a ref who quickly came in and separated the guys. I'm with Kinlaw on this: 100% bullshit not to call it.
|
Re: Week 10 Gameday Thread- Lions @Commaanders
BS not to call it, absolute farce if they don't fine Brown for it.
