Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
Like SS says...we need to wait until the 2nd half. While we are doing what we should in the 1st half, we did well in the 1st half vs the Giants, and blew it in the 2nd.

Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
Ok Clark, way to fire them up...

Smooter: No HD troubles here...

Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
hopefully they learned their lesson after losing the last game with a 14 point lead, lets not forget,Detroit only had 3 points thru 3 qtrs last week, then erupted for 34!! 4th qtr points

Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
I DO NOT like the playcalling with 1:20 left before halftime.
We'd been moving the ball well, Campbell was on target, Detroit wasn't stopping us in the passing game, and Gibbs sits on it with plenty of time left. Outrageous. Do you think the Cowboys, Colts or Patriots would be comfortable with a 14 point lead with that much time still available? HELL NO. They'd be striking down the field trying to get another score. That's exactly the kind of complacency that separates the winners from the losers.
I'm OK with them running out the clock in that case. They didn't want to let the Lions back in the game before the half. Gary Clark inducted into the ring of fame...bout time. He was an amazing WR for us. |
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
Hope we don't need that timeout later.
|
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
my HD is out too they switched to regular

True enough. If Detroit scores 10 points in the second half, people will come out of the cracks and start saying things like, "We might as well go home because we are going to lose," "typical second half collapse," blah, blah blah. We can't expect to contain them all game long; be grateful and amazed that we held the most explosive offense int he league to 0 points in the first half and don't expect a shut-out. |
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
How many DET fumbles is that?
|
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
where is ARE???
|
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
You can almost hear Gibbs thoughts...
"Ok, we're up 14-0...sit on it." LOL. |

Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
How many DET fumbles is that?
5 with no recoveries. It's hard to complain about either side of the ball right now, but it would be extra sweet to start recovering some of those fumbles. |
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread

Hurt his hammy...but no point having him do PR when he's our #1 WR. |

Injured -- hamstring. |
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
HOLY SHIT...ARE is out now!
|
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
I hope we can still stretch the field with ARE out.
|
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
better break open the seal on B.Lloyd
|
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
The magic number for the offense as far as I'm concerned is 20. They need to pop that cherry...
|
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
How small does Lloyd feel right now?
Turnover deep in your own territory
Why is it automatically assumed that there will be a turnover? |
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
Looks like the Skins have decided they'll line Campbell up at WR before Lloyd. Heck, Don Breaux might see some game action :)
|
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
McCarrdell! (did I spell that right?)
|
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
Turnover deep in your own territory
Exactly...you don't let them have ANY momentum when going into half. It was the right choice. MCCARDELL!!! Sweet! |
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
Interesting use of Sellers on running plays against this strong front four.

Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
Did he fumble there?
If so, i think it was Wade that fell on it. |
Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
I really wonder what did Lloyd do at Redskins park to put him this far behind
|

damn... Bring on Squeeze 'Em

Re: Week 5: Lions at Redskins Game Thread
Jason's passer rating right now is 120.0. That's second this week only to Tom Brady (at 134).

Again, have some faith in your quarterback. Using this logic you should never throw the ball on your own side of the field. Campbell has a 121 qb rating. |
