Don't jinx it. I don't know if I am stable enough to go through that offseason roller coaster again so soon. Last offseason was enough. |

Re: Championship Weekend Games Thread
I'm so glad we didn't get that gutless Cutler after he pussied out on Chicago. He has some of the worse body language I've ever seen. When the rookie was about to come in, I knew he was gonna have better success because of his body language.
And at this stage, it's an embarrassment to have Todd Collins on an NFL field. |

Collins looked like shit for us when he played in the 2006 preseason, but we all know how he turned out down the stretch. I imagine with Chicago, if he got alot of first team reps week in and week out, he'd look fine... |

Didn't Lovie say that the drs. pulled Cutler? I agree that it doesn't help his image, he just doesn't project well publicly as franchise qb.

Probably not as soon as the AH to the Giants threads did over in the Giants forums. |

I havent heard anyonre mention it this morning on talk radio, kinda surprised.I dont care for Brunell, glad hes not making it to another Superbowl instead I will remember him as getting a booger wiped on him |
Re: Championship Weekend Games Thread
Rapistberger will win, sadly. Another ****ing year of those godawful ugly ass Pittsburgh uniforms.
Rodgers will be all tightened up and nervous and the Pitt gets off to a hot start. |

Yeah, we couldn't believe it when we saw it. But what was worse was Mendenhall humping Ben Rothlisberger at the end of the game. |
Re: Championship Weekend Games Thread
Deion Sanders mentioned that a couple years ago Phillip Rivers was balling in the playoffs while he had a torn ACL. Brady was playing with a broken foot this year. If his MRI comes back negative he might as well leave town.

What do you have against Brunell? He was a beast in Jacksonville and one of the best QBs in the league. I think he only had 2 bad seasons (6-10) that was due mainly to salary cap and the jags not being able to afford to keep alot of good players. He got hurt in 2003, and when he came here had 1 bad season. 2005 we went to the playoffs, and 2006 he became a scapegoat. I think Brunell got the raw deal here, personally. |
Re: Championship Weekend Games Thread
MB was a scapegoat from the moment he landed in DC.

I have exactly nothing against Mark Brunell. The Redskins overpaid him - - but they overpay LOTS of free agents. In 2010/2011, Mark Brunell is no longer a viable NFL QB. Those statements are not made with any hostility or animosity. |

Do you take the Brunell of the Joe2 era or current Rex?

I would Rather have Rex,Ramsey,JC,TC,Pineapple Jesus,or any other redskin qb you want to throw out there over Brunell |
Do you take the Brunell of the Joe2 era or current Rex?
Brunell from Joe2 era. I'd take the Brunell of 2005 over Rex. Brunell knew the offense, didn't turn the ball over, and made big plays when we needed it. The 2005 season statistically was the best of his career, I think. When the skins were that good in 2005, only god knows why they decided to overhaul everything after a 10-6 season... |

Amen. Those where the worst years of my life having to watch him play here. To say he got a raw deal or was a scapegoat is off the mark. He screwed us with shitty play. |

Yeah but that his been MO his entire career...when it comes to body language dude just does the wrong things as well... Immaturity is one of those "intangibles" you get with Cutler as well, you sign up with that when you make that trade |

Re: Championship Weekend Games Thread
Cutler had ample oppurtunity to quit much earlier in the season as well. Even though I DO feel a little skeptical, if the he couldn't physically plant his foot or drop back without being significantly hindered and thus become a liability to his team, so be it.

I agree with that. Unfortunately that is Cutler being Cutler. But that criticism is not the same as the "Cutler is a pussy" venom that has been passed around. That is really unfair. By the way I am not a Cutler lover. But the guy got a raw deal and, given the typical responses of hateful people, that raw deal will stick with him. |
