I'm sure the WFT will be calling about any QB worth a damn that may be possibly available.

As they should be doing. |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I didn't know he finished that well. Maybe we don't need to force a QB. Between Heinicke and Allen we can get it done if we have a good off-season at other positions.
----- Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero Washington QB Kyle Allen continues to progress in rehab and should be fully recovered by April from the dislocated ankle that ended his season. Allen completed 69% of his passes with 4 TDs and a 99.3 rating in 4 starts last season. WFT has exclusive rights for 2021. |
Why do that though when you can just get a game manager in free agency?
Because Dak Prescott is the only current free agent available that I think is better than him right now. So that doesn’t say much for everyone other than Dak. |

If you were a QB with a habit of holding onto the ball too long you’d want to be able to draft all Olinemen who could allow you to continue to live you your dreams of completing 9 step drops instead of 5. |

Yep, if he can come back healthy and 100%, Dak is probably a couple tiers above all "available" free agent QBs. Mariota is not markedly better, if he's at all better, than the likes of J Winston, A Dalton, T Taylor, or R Fitzpatrick...probably not even J Brissett or M Trubisky - all of whom you don't have to trade assets for. |

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I wouldn't send a first for Carr, or Darnold. A 2nd maybe but I'm just.not parting ways with a #1 to bring a non winning (technically for carr) qb in here to learn a new system in an unknown off-season like this year at a #1 Pick value. I just value the #19 spot too much on a team with a lot of needs. Unless they address a lot of these needs with solid free agent pickups, and there are some but not many since we can't sign em all, I'd stand pat at 19. Carr and darnold while capable I've seen them play a helllll of a lot and I'm not RD 1 trade worthy impressed.... at all.
And a big hell no to T. Taylor Hell.. anyone but Haskins starts all season long for this team and we are most likely a 10 win team and a much better team. Without having an outside qb coming in ehos available NOT named Stafford. |

Need someone decently young and mobile. Everyone you mention is not worth signing IMO due to age, mobility issues, injury history, INT issues and/or not being able to read defenses well. Winston - Eats interceptions Dalton - Red rocket explosion Taylor - Mr. Glass Fitzmagic - Old man INT Brisket - Charred (in the garbage) Trubisky - Too risky |

They ALL have flaws. That's why they are ALL currently backups. Neither is a great deal better than the others. |

I don’t see it that way. Mariota - 27 Winston - 27 Dalton - 33 Taylor - 31 Fitzmagic - 38 Brisket - 27 Trubisky - 26 Out of these guys, those in their 30’s are washed up. Trubisky, Brisket and Winston have MAJOR flaws. I don’t see where Mariota has anything super glaring. Numbers are solid from a large enough sample size. I think he could be like Ryan Tannehill and be able to flourish in a system that’s a good fit for him. I think he could do well in WSH. I don’t think the others will do well anywhere. |

You think he could be like a Ryan Tannehill, the guy that came to Tennessee, replaced Mariota, played with the same players Mariota had, and made that team much better than it was with Mariota as the quarterback. Ok. |
Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I'd still roll with J Winston, T Taylor, or A Dalton before giving up a damn thing for the 'same guy' in a trade.
