Oh, and I gotta give props to Stephania Bell, can't forget about her
The chiropractor? J/k lol. But seriously what happened with her tonight?
Colin Cowherd (yeah that's right I said Cowher)
Really? I'm surprised. He does seem to have great chemistry with the people on Sportsnation so I guess it's not inconcieveable but I always envisioned Cowherd waking around Bristol just giving people crap, firing people for not getting him coffee, etc. In fact I always figured the "You're with me leather" story was about Cowherd, not Berman.
Thank you,

I wasn't trying to pry, but its been eating away at me for some time, especially when everyone seems to be waiting for your confirmation on things. I like to keep my privacy, but since you shared some info. I am a Armored Car Driver/Vault Manager I fill up ATM's and deliver all the main bank branches their money locally. Your job sounds better, getting to meet some of the athletes would be cool as shit.
Dude, you forgot the delivery at my house today. Bring cash tomorrow and all will be forgiven.
I'll just repost what I did a few weeks back (using some of my MBA buzzwords). I manage part of the day to day business strategy for a domestic (US) sports network. I coordinate, develop, and manage the planning and implementation of strategies that leverage our assets in order to optimize revenue generating streams and grow the business while increasing viewer awareness and consumption. (There's that MBA!!)

A lot of the stuff I'm currently working on actually is stuff that you haven't seen yet. No one has.

But anyway, a lot of my Redskins information come from having covered the Redskins locally (as in DC) many years ago. Most of my internal contacts are gone, actually just about all of them are, but some of them still keep in touch with what's going on. And fortunately, this new regime has given me a couple of new internal contacts. So while I get a fair amount of my info thanks to my current job, a lot of it is actually thanks to previous jobs...and other relations
Man, I can't compete with that!
Watching this now... thought Gruden went a little easy on Tebow, but that's not a shocker. Clausen didn't do himself any favors with the excuses and the constant "mmhmm" answers when he was getting criticized. Also looked like a clown with the pen and notepad. Very contrived, imo. Didn't seem as if he was actually accepting the criticism. Thought McCoy was ok, seemed a little too eager to please I think, liked when he finally started getting a bit defensive about the height and some other nits. Bradford, in my opinion, looked like the best out of the bunch. Seemed to have confidence, while still accepting the criticism.
Eager to please is what some down here would call Southern manners. That's just how Colt is, from what I've witnessed over the past few years. He's neither a cocky little shit like Claussen nor a this-guy-can't-be-serious square like Tebow.

I'm sure he's defensive because he's tired of hearing how he isn't going to be any good as a pro or was just a system guy at UT. I think people forget how good this guy is because he had one tough game against Nebraska (and lest anyone forget, the Longhorns had NO run game and gameplanned for that purpose with a guy some are calling the most dominant defensive player in a generation) and of course the stinger/numb arm thing in the Championship game.

Case in point, everyone down here was walking around going "man, what is wrong with Colt this year?" when the dude was en route to a 3500/27/12 season with 70% completion percentage.

Fair bit of (adoptive) homerism going on here, but I've seen my fair share of both Bradford and McCoy down here and I think Colt is going to surprise a lot of people if he gets a real opportunity. Based on the LCF formula, he's got a legitimate shot, if you subscribe to such notions.

I was decided on McCoy before I plugged him in to a formula though. He's always going to be dependent on his system for opportunity, and in that light, he's not a true franchise passer, but he's a rare talent in a specific role. There won't be a guy like him in the next decade.

Did I miss something? I saw her before I left and everything seemed fine

You know I kind of had low expectations as well, and he does get on my nerves sometimes on-air. But I had to work with his producer a few times and she was great and then I went down to the studios to watch SN and Cowherd was fantastic. During every break he'd come over and chat with me and say this is what I'm thinking, here's my take on that, what do you think? And he was really supportive and grateful of what I did and interested in learning more. Afterward we chatted some more. He asked for some feedback, wanted to know what could be improved upon. Just really impressive. I honestly don't see him that often, but when I do he's always super nice. I kind of wanted not to like him, but honestly I can't

Mentioned their names before but John Skelton and Jonathan Crompton are getting a lot of buzz lately as a possible Saturday draft choice for the Skins...which of course means Shanahan will take Tony Pike

She's the physical therapist right? I don't know it's just something like if you want to insult a physical therapist, especially a high quality one, call them a chiropractor. Not that chiropractors are bad but I've known a physical therapist or two that's not to crazy about chiropractors.

The bastard had to be nice. Oh well, I guess I can feel better now about watching Sportsnation, though I always convinced myself that I only watched it because I liked seeing Michelle on it, which is partly true. Next thing I know you're going to tell me Jim Rome is a good guy.

Almost forgot, were you ever part of the peanut gallery on Sportsnation?

Would much rather have Crompton. Still trying to figure out what people see in Pike.

Yeah, physical therapist.

Never met Rome. He's out in LA
Wait, so that means there's more of this? That's awesome.

Really, I thought Clausen was the best one behind Tebow according to the preview. I mean to me that willingness to study film is huge for me. McCoy did the worse because Gruden really got him rattled, though I did like his answer to how he was going to gain command of the huddle. Bradford was pretty non-chalant but I felt that Gruden was easiest on him.

Tebow's reverse though of asking Gruden "do you want me on your team" was freaking classic. Of course as I now know all of this is just based on the preview.
Yeah and they say JC put in 16-18 hour days at the Park too

can't will yourself to greatness
Tebow's squeaky clean qualities may be annoying, but they certainly are not detrimental to a team sport. Clausen's crap on the other hand...
unless he decides to be a religious/attitude/blah blah missionary to the team

people will get tired of that shit and tell him to get the fuck out of their faces

I doubt it. Never seemed to rub anyone the wrong way for 4 years at Florida and you're forgetting that a lot of players in the NFL are at the very least Christian and while they may live a certain lifestyle I think a lot of them respect how strong Tebow is about his faith.

Personally I'm agnostic and have never had a problem with Tebow's strong religious positions, and trust me it's not THAT hard to get on my nerves in regards to this issue. I think part of that is because he walks the walk with his missonary work in foreign countries and seems to be kind to every person that comes into contact with him short of the 60 minutes he spends on a football field. People talk about Clausen giving off the douche vibe and I have little doubt that he was that way in high school, but Tebow doesn't even give off the slightest hint of having ever been the stereotypical jock.
McShay's no less a scout than Kiper, he just hasn't been around as long as Kiper.
In my opinion that does make him a lesser scout since he lacks Mel's experience and about 30 years of connections. I am just a Mel guy and i don't like the way ESPN seems to be packaging this McShay as Mel's future replacement. I know you don't want to hear it but I would really like to see Mel move to NFL Network and team up with Mayock. Those two could do some great stuff together with all the extra time NFL network has to devote to the draft.

Won't you just hate it when Mayock comes to ESPN ;) (I'm only joking don't take this as some sort of inside scoop rumor)
