Appeared before the State's three major elected officials seeking approval of my client's highly contentious project. After approval by 2-1 vote, was told by my client that my presentation was "masterful" and heard through another attorney that one of the deputies to these officials commented that my presentation was "an excellent example of client advocacy".

... and, to top all off, as part of the presentation, and in response to a really, really stupid suggestion from one of the officials, I was able to firmly, professionally and correctly tell an elected official with considerable power that he was wrong, was being stupid and needed to sit down and shut the F up. No one in the room disagreed.

Client bought me lunch and beer. It tasted far too sweet.
LOL , well done .

Six months into the new job. Loving it. Sh**-ton of work to do, but it's all good b/c it is interesting, bosses love me & let me know it, and more importantly, let the powers that be know it.

It's amazing how hard you work at being the best when it's actually noticed and appreciated.

Big time "Hell yeah!" --- got 2/3's of plaintiff's case kicked out even before we picked the jury. Opposing counsel had to ask for a continuance until tomorrow morning because "the claims [the judge] disposed of were integral to [his] case theory".

He be scrambling now!

Blood in the water and the beast is hungry.

His 30M claim just got reduced to about 50K.

I am betting his client is having some words with him.

F*** yeah! Two week jury trial. Kicked opposing counsel's ass (magna cum laud from his law school, 15 year trial attorney) - on every major legal point. Whittled his case down to one single issue and got the jury verdict after 12 hours of deliberations. I ripped his heart out and feasted on it as he lay twisting in the wind.

After trial, client (another attorney) said my performance was "stellar". Gave me a bottle of bourbon.

Sometimes, even I have to admit, I am damn f'ng good at what I do!

So after some management layoffs in my office and a very stressful time leading up to it, my manager got cut loose along with our office VP and my work life has been a million times easier since. All I have to say is F micro managers and a-hole VP's, and props to home office for doing the right thing once in a while!
