Here comes a Darius Heyward-Bey type jaw dropper for Oakland.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Nice threads Hayden. And the wing tips match your ears...
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
We just drafted our future LT, LG, C, RG, and RT. Whats not to love?
Time for the Raiders to select Iupati. |

Of course! GO GATORS! |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
from Wikipedia:
A silverback is an adult male gorilla, typically more than 12 years of age and named for the distinctive patch of silver hair on his back. A silverback gorilla has large canine teeth that come with maturity. Ok I guess I get it now |

I think they might take Anthony Davis, regardless they are about to make a team very happy with a bad pick. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
I'm hearing McClain to the Raiders.
|

Bruce Campbell perhaps? |

That ticks me off. All these DC natives that are top recruits in all high school sports and the only guys that stay in state are the LAX players.
What are they supposed to do, go play football at Maryland? Puh-lease. |
I'm hearing McClain to the Raiders.
Crap, they're actually going to make possibly the best pick in the draft. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
here goes jimmy clausen

Do you mean Bruce Campbell? I doubt he's going to be available in the 4th round, b/c that's when we pick next. |

YES!!! Please stay home. Florida has enough home grown talent. |

This is another one. Yes, I will root for Williams, Parker, Johnson, and trading away the 2nd round pick. But, they have made their bed with questionable and objectionable moves. I can see all these moves back firing, I hope I am wrong. I am getting flashbacks of Gibbs-2, Brunell, losing Pierce, and getting Archuletta.
Why is it questionable? because it isnt Okung? MANY people have had Williams higher ranked than Okung. It's not like it came out of nowhere. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
We may watch Jimmy Clausen commit suicide if he goes to the Raiders.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
The Raiders just did us a HUGEEEEEEEEEEE favor.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Man, my source is ON. He called Hey-Bey last year, too.

Nice work |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Smart pick by Oakland, glad he is not coming to the NFC EAST!
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
And once again the Raiders take someone too early. Though, they just screwed up the Giants. LOL. So I'm ok with this :)
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Wow, a good pick by OAK?
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
what is "silverback"?
Is that Trent Williams' nickname or something?
A silverback is a Gorilla, seemingly he 's trying to 'compare' himself to the pro-wrestler. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Glad he's not coming to the NFCE. I wouldn't mind getting Morrisson from the Raiders somehow.
|

Both Williams and Okung had top 10 grades from just about everyone. Williams wasn't gonna get past Seattle at 6 if we had taken Okung. McClain- good pick for Oakland I think. He's a stud. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Tebow?
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Here comes a trade
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
We got the upside Tackle now we need the lunchpail tackle.....any of the three mentioned above in a package.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
that that giants!!
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Wow, a good pick by OAK?
Probably a bit early, but he is far and away the best MLB in the draft. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Whoa!!!! Spiller?
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
woah i hear smootsmack crying somewhere
|
A silverback is a Gorilla, seemingly he 's trying to 'compare' himself to the pro-wrestler.
Actually he said Goodell gave him the nickname, and chuckled about an inside joke between him and the Commissioner |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Wow, Spiller to Buffalo. Tebow is neither a Raider or a Bill. Thank goodness.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
So Oakland and Buffalo are still possible destinations for a Campbell trade. Good good.

I really think the idea of competition at the RB spot, a new proven, playoff experience QB, a young highly rated LT has already improved this team leaps and bounds. Their best move so far was not over paying for crap players who will never play to their contract. There wasnt an Archuletta signing this year. McNabb is so much better than BOOnell when he came in. FO is getting a big phat A+ in my book so far. |

I think he'll save those tears if Jevan Snead is not picked up by us. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
I like the fact that we picked an O-Linemen. If this is the kind of player that suites Shanahan's running game I'm all for the Williams pick. Hope he doesn't turn out to be another "Williams" bust. 23 Reps is a concern though...get him in the gym ASAP!
