I don't think there's a question that he's a good receiver. I'm not sure he's even top 10 in the NFL though. He had a top 10 kind of year in 2019, but with that injury history, that's a lot of dough... There's a reason the Lions weren't willing to bring him back for that $$, and for the Giants, man that's tough to be bidding against yourself for this guy... |

Gettleman seriously looks like a used car salesman...wtf is he doing? |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
I love how the rest of the division is crumbling. NJ overpaying hugely...Dallas can't afford any good players after overpaying Dak...and the Eagles are just flat our broke and are cutting everyone.
Galloday will help Danny dimes a lot. Yeah he's overpaid but he's worth it when you have a average QB that needs a big target.. Who else were they going to get? The draft is a crapshoot especially at WR
Golladay will help them, but I have a hard time agreeing that Jones is an average NFL QB. Maybe he can develop into that, but thus far he's proven to be quite a bit below average, IMO. Getting their RB back will help them a lot. |

Stafford is better than Goff. That's why there was a trade. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31114006/detroit-lions-michael-brockers-apologized-jared-goff-level-remark-matthew-stafford |

Glad the Giants were dumb, helps us. Lions are rebuilding, so the decision perhaps makes sense even if they wanted him. No way is he top-10 in NFL. For what they paid, you should get a true #1, size, speed, quickness, the total package. Golladay is good, but he is not that. Love watching other teams in division make mistakes we used to. :-) I think the Giants are frustrated by Jones a bit, hoping he had developed more, shown more moxy, and view this as an investment in helping Jones not be a bust. In that sense, what is $3M more a year versus starting over at QB (and maybe people losing jobs in process)? |

People will understand that when it is too late. Not just that Stafford was better than Goff. Goff was horrible. McVeigh did EVERYTHING you can to help a young guy get to the next level and become a franchise QB. Reading the D for Goff pre-snap and telling him where to go in headphones first year, giving him a STACKED offense, adjusting system to what worked best for Goff, etc. Goff never got better and couldn't get it done. |

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
NJ Giants just signed Adoree' Jackson, CB from the Titans to a 3 year, $39 mil contract. He's played in 14 total games the last 2 seasons, only 3 last year. 2 career INTs in 4 seasons.
$26.5 mil guaranteed, getting paid $16 mil in his first year. Another "good when healthy" player but not a great contract unless he plays 16 games a year. |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Gettleman spending $$ like his job depends on it. Probably because it does.

@FieldYates
The Giants are signing former Washington OLB Ryan Anderson. It's a one-year deal that includes $137,500 to sign and qualifies for the veteran salary benefit. |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Cutting Zeitler, their best OL, and not resigning Tomlinson on the DL more than offsets the signings they have made, and they are pushing cap hits into future years as Gettleman has nothing to lose. All for two guys who collectively played 8 games last year

Yeah, cutting Zeitler was a bit puzzling, considering they had one of the worst offensive lines in the league last year. Nate Solder is coming back, which should help them, but I'm not sure how much it helps. I guess the money saved by cutting Zeitler helped them sign Golladay / Jackson... |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Giants fans on one of their sites are damn near claiming Super Bowl. All of the signings are just absolutely excellent.
Meanwhile here, they're moreso all getting panned. It's amazing how biases effect opinions so much. One of us are wrong. Hopefully it's them. |

That's kind of the puzzling thing behind letting Zeitler go. Giving Saquon blockers seems like a wise thing. But yeah they should be better because of him coming back. I still like our team over theirs but they'll be in the mix. |

I think they overspent for both of them, but it's not my money. They do have Barkley coming back too, which will make them better. They have a high draft pick which will likely net them a starter somewhere. Probably the O-line, where they need the most help. There's good reason for Giants fans to be happy / optimistic. |

That secondary has a chance to be good, but 39 mill for adore Jackson is a wild overpay. First, honestly he’s been very average. He’s not been great...period Second...he’s injured all the time. That was a knock when he came out of college and it’s played out as true. |

Jackson-avg player, second corner...wildly overpaid. Golladay is good, but again he’s not even a top 10 receiver in the league. 18 million per is an overpay. Word out of Detroit is they had problems with him last year...being injured and wanting to get back on field. That’s a red flag |

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Garrett will get the most out of Rudolph, like he did with Witten.
Mayo vs Anderson (our lb trade that was not a trade) seems like a wash. Ross/Golladay when combined with Barkley seems like a solid offensive attack. It really comes down to health and Jones for the Giants. I also don't think Jason Garrett can call a winning offense though. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Obviously some potential there and much needed depth. I'm just saying that Giants fans have reason to be happy - at least the organization isn't sitting on their hands watching free agency go by. They are making moves that, if they pan out, will make the team better. |

I have plenty of joy , trump is out , the family is healthy ! Giants have done much to improve the team . I will admit I think the WFT is on the right track . RR has done well. Mayo is a good LBer I liked him very much I was glade to see him hook up with another team. |

I guess Kyle Rudolph's physical revealed a foot issue, that may require surgery (per Garafolo), but the deal is expected to still go through according to Mike Florio.
Man they are banking big time on some dudes with past and current injury concerns. |
