That Silotou guy from midwestern state is a real eyebrow raiser...Dude is a straight up mauler, reminds me of Jahri Evans meets Mike Iupati..definitely would be a day 1 starter at Guard for us.

Kellen Moore was a great college QB but, if you're going to go with a short QB, why not go with one who is faster, sturdier, more mobile, and has a better arm - namely Russell Wilson. I think Wilson is a much better fit for the offense we run.

I'm a big Markelle Martin fan also, so I wouldn't mind if the Skins picked him in the 3rd Round.

Picking Broyles is a great idea. If Ryan Broyles is healthy, I wouldn't mind the Skins taking him in the 3rd either. He could be outstanding in the slot and he's also a PR. I wouldn't wait beyond the 4th Round to snag Broyles.

As far as OL are concerned, I think we could get a solid OG prospect as late as the 6th round. I like Potter, as well, but at OG. Other OG prospects I like who might be had in the 6th include Adam Gettis, Lonnie Edwards, and Stephen Good.

I'd like to see the Skins get London Fletcher's eventual replacement so the rook can learn from the master, so I'd target Tank Carder in the 4th Round. I think he'd make a very good ILB.

I'm hoping we can get Russell Wilson in the 5th Round.

Cliff Harris might be a good player to take a chance on in the 7th Round.

Not saying that we should draft Russell Wilson, because I think drafting 2 QBs in the same draft creates more trouble then benefit on a team without an established QB.

But with that being said Wilson has been one of my favorite college QB prospects and here's some high praise from his pro-day:

Do you mean in terms of a QB controversy? If so, I agree, but maaaaaaaaaan, he could be Schaub later on where he comes in for some mop-up duty and gets us a second rounder down the road.

The reason why Kellen Moore (although Russel Wilson is a great QB in his own respects) would be a great backup for us is because of his football smarts. The guy was considered by some a smarter football IQ QB than even Andrew Luck. So think about it. You play Robert, have Rex as the backup, and let Kellen stay on the bench learn the offense, study the other teams, then you can have yourself another matt flynn.

I liked the idea for the Packers who drafted Flynn and Brohm in the same class, but they could pull it off because the already had an established incumbent QB.
New England has Hoyer, Eagles have Kafka, Ravens have Tyrod Taylor etc.

But on a team with no established QB its inviting the inevitable comparisons.
And the sports media, especially here in Washington, are predisposed to create a QB controversy even where one really doesn't exsist.

Griffin will undoubtedly have some rough days during training camp, all QBs have them.
All it takes is for a reporter or two (heck with social media any blogger/forum member attending training) to see Griff miss a couple throws that the other QB makes then the snowball begins god forbid the other QB has a better day then Griffin.

If we hadn't made the trade and either reached for Tannehill at 6 or took, say, Weeden in the 2nd then I agree it might not be a good idea to draft another QB in the later rounds.

Without being an established and successful incumbent QB nothing tangible separates the QBs.
And without that established separation when QB1 has a bad day and QB2 has a great day it will look like QB1 is better then QB2.

I'm not saying that's gonna happen, but why create that scenario?

Also, there are only so many reps in a given practice.
And a rookie QB of the future is gonna need as many reps as they can handle and imo the whole staff should be singularly focused on preparing them to start.
And catering the system to make him successful.
Anything that takes away from that aim is a needless burden in my eyes.

I love the idea Russell Wilson in our offense. The [U]only[/U] problem I have with him is that he's short. When I watch him play, he reminds me of Drew Brees. Why not settle our QB position this year by picking RGIII and Wilson, if we can?

I hope we draft him but there is no way he'll last beyond the 5th Round. It wouldn't be a shock to me if some team picked him in the 3rd Round.

IMO, RGIII, Rex (the mentor), and Wilson would be a very good QB situation for us.

I knew the Redskins would re-sign Grossman. Although Grossman seemingly deserved this new mandated back up role, I wanted them to pursue Matt Leinart again like they did last offseason. Of course the thing about Grossman is his tendency for committing turnovers.

I kinda feel bad for him. He knows he has no place in the NFL as a starter anymore (probably never really did). Oh well, I can't wait to see RG3 sling it next year.

Yes, I'm aware of that.

I'm not saying that Grossman doesn't deserve to be the back up. He definitely earned it with his 13 starts last season. In his defense, you can say that he had only 4 more INTs than TD passes.

Well, they should make all those scores public. It's not like they could ever get access to educational records.

Also, all the teams know the score so why would one leak the score to the public? It's not like leaking the score would provide another team with a score/red flag he didn't know about. They all knew the score after he took it.
