If you honestly think BB is desperate ,you haven't been paying attention. |

Joe Flacco to the Eagles. What week next year will the fans in Philly be calling for Flacco to replace Hurts?
|
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Falcons are signing CB Fabian Moreau.
Was hoping he would come back. |

That may be the weirdest QB/ backup pairing I can remember, if there is anyone who is the polar opposite of Hurts it must be Flacco, can they seriously be expected to run the same offense? |

Eagles also just lost Vinny Curry, They're downgrading everywhere. |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Philly is in a tough spot and when the social media team is hyping up Flacco.. That says a lot
|
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Man I really hope Flacco plays a ton this year lol

Like when we had Cousins and Griffin, you just call plays based on who's in the game. Any playbook has basic concepts and plays that any QB can run. Obviously with Flacco you lean more towards traditional drop back stuff, and with Hurts you can mix in more RPO, Read option, designed runs, etc. |

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Why not?
He's 1-3 as a starter. He boasts a 52% completion percentage, 6 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 9 fumbles, and a QBR of 41.0. |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Seriously though, he has the tools and he's been good everywhere he's been. NFL is a different level obviously, but I think you can't really determine whether he's the guy or not until you see how he progresses with some talent around him for a year or so. Unfortunately for the Eagles, it doesn't appear that will be the case this year...

Yeah that being said he was the absolute bottom of the barrel for several weeks. Doesn’t usually bode well in any occupation. |

I wouldn’t be surprised if Philly takes a QB first round

This is probably the best summary of the Deshaun Watson allegations I've seen yet. Long? yes, but worth it.
I still am not making any declarations of guilty or innocent, but I do find it hard to believe a top 5 NFL quarterback, in the me-too digital age where it's damn near impossible to keep things private, would be so stupid to prey on massage therapists who don't do happy endings (when it shouldn't be hard to find those that do). If he really is guilty I honestly can't believe he thought he would be able to get away with this. And if he's innocent I hope his reputation isn't being tarnished for life. Right now I lean towards guilty because he would just be next in a long line of famous people letting fame corrupt their moral code. |

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Hurts is in a tough spot now that happens all too often. New staff, he's an unestablished player that the new HC has no loyalty to. They could definitely take a QB early on in this draft, no doubt.

Filed to ESPN: Dolphins trading No. 3 overall pick to the San Francisco 49ers for the No. 12 pick, a 2021 third-round pick (SF’s comp pick for Robert Saleh hiring) and first-round picks in 2022 and 2023, per sources.
Blockbuster deal with massive ramifications for years to come. |

I don't know, Hurts may be worse than Flacco. I think he probably is actually. But yeah, either way the Beagles are garbage. |

Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
Some more analysis: https://www.nbcsports.com/edge/football/nfl/player/9931/brian-flores Dolphins acquired the No. 6 and No. 156 overall picks from the Eagles in exchange for No. 12 overall, No. 123 overall, and a 2022 first-round pick. Only minutes after Miami shipped the No. 3 overall pick to San Francisco, the organization used the No. 12 pick it received in that exchange to move back up to No. 6 overall from Philly. The Eagles reportedly attempted to trade up to No. 3 beforehand but were only trying to do so for BYU QB Zach Wilson — a telling sign the 21-year-old will be off the board at No. 2 to the Jets. The deal not only ensures the Dolphins add another offensive weapon to Tua Tagovailoa's already-stout arsenal, but that the Eagles develop and evaluate Jalen Hurts through the 2021 season. The draft is nearly one month away and is already shaping up to be the most chaotic of the last decade. |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
To follow...
Dolphins gave 2021 Pick #3 Dolphins got 2021 Pick #12, 2021 Pick #102, 2022 1st, 2023 1st THEN Dolphins gave 2021 Pick #12, 2021 Pick #123, 2022 1st And Dolphins got 2021 Pick #6, 2021 Pick #156 So their net gain is: Moved from 2021 #3 to 2021 #6 Picked up 2021 #102 (SF 3rd Round) Moved back from 2021 #123 (MIA 4th Round) to 2021 #156 (PHI 5th Round) Picked up 2023 1st from SF ----------------------------- And ignoring the other picks that changed hands, SF moved up from #12 to #3, likely for a QB...and PHI moved back from #6 to #12...possibly because their QB is now likely not obtainable in the draft with SF moving ahead of them? |

I think SF wants Mac Jones. Accurate as all hell. But isn't amazingly athletic or doesn't blow you away with a huge arm. Like Matt Ryan. Or Kirk Cousins. Two QB's Shanahan loved. Settling in at 3 should guarantee them Jones, as all the pre-draft buzz has him nowhere near the top of the draft. |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Niners get their QB in Zach Wilson I bet
If the Jets pass on drafting Wilson, there may no longer be a shred of hope that they'll ever get it right at the QB position. I could see a building team not wanting to trade up for him, but if he's sitting right there for the taking that's another story. If the Jets are saying that Darnold is their QB, well, bless their hearts. They try but the poor things just don't know any better. |

We shall see though, never know who these teams hone in on as "their guy." |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Mac Jones has zero athleticism. Doesn’t seem like a good fit to run the boot/play action game the Shanahans love to incorporate.
|
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
I would expect Jimmy G to be traded to the Pats. That to me seems like the most logical spot for him. They didn't want to let him go in begin with.

He is more of a fit for the Pats honestly |
Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League
Yeah, a number of mocks have the Pats taking Jones if he falls to them.
I reckon the 49ers will take Wilson if the Jets don't, else Fields. They could take Lance and have him sit a year, but I'm thinking if you make that trade you do it for someone that's pretty much a day 1 starter. Especially if you can get a decent trade for Jimmy G. |

Of course he has athleticism. I think you're confusing athleticism with mobility. |

2 more lawsuits against Douchaun Watson. Up to 18.
Of course he has athleticism. I think you're confusing athleticism with mobility.
I was going on what Greg Cosell said about him, some highlights from his interview on the Ross Tucker football podcast - highly efficient executor and ball distributor in a really good Alabama offense - main question - how important to you are movement and second reaction ability? In today's NFL you constantly hear that this has become an essential trait. - because Mac Jones is a bad athlete, almost no ability to play outside structure whatsoever - very good sense of anticipation, good timing - some pocket movement, not great, but enough that it's not a negative - really good feel for throwing in zone coverage - knows where to go with the ball quickly - a lot of good mental traits, but also virtually no movement and second reaction traits. - need to understand what he is and what he isn't when you draft him |
