Re: Fitzmagic Thread
Fitz is clearly the best option out there at the moment and the best stop gap quarterback we could get. Over the last two years he has actually been pretty damn good. It is a one year deal and we wasted no picks and did not break the bank. It might not be a splashy move but it was smart and puts us in contention in the nfc east for another year while we try and get a long term solution at quarterback. All the arm chair GM’s need to stop complaining about his age as if we signed him to a long term deal and realize he was the best option when you consider we are in year two of a three year rebuild.
He is better than kyle fuckin allen and there is no long term answer free agent out there. We tried for Stafford. We didn’t get him. So we get Fitz on a one year deal. He is better than anyone on our roster by a mile. If we can go 7-9 with a bust, a statue, and Kyle fuckin Allen than Fitz can win at least nine. Couple that with the draft , players coming back from injury, and year two in the same offensive and defensive schemes and things should be better. We can worry about 2022 down the road.
So how do you feel about Kyle Allen? Asking for a friend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Ryan Fitzpatrick's Last 16 starts:
4,414 Yards 27 Touchdowns 13 Interceptions 65.2 Completion % WFT Quarterback Last 16 Starts: 3,768 Yards 16 Touchdowns 16 Interceptions 64.7 Completion % Both on exactly 599 attempts. #WashingtonFootball If Fitz can give us 27 TDs and 13 Ints this team is winning 12 games
Well damn, when you put it that way, a Jeff George move this is not! Might have to grab a jersey with his number. |

Better to by a jersey like his where you know he's only here short term and he can't possibly leave on bad terms. His beard game is amazing. |
Re: Fitzmagic Thread
Honestly if you buy one it's worth it.. He's going to be fun to watch regardless
|
Re: Fitzmagic Thread
Yeah, Fitz is already a legend, good jersey to buy as opposed to a Haskins or other unproven rookie that you'll regret buying in a year.
Glad I held off on the RG3 jersey, but I still wear the RG3 t-shirt I bought around the house. :D |
Re: Fitzmagic Thread
I wonder if the #1 QB position will be a true competition or will it be gifted to the higher paid QB?
I ask because Taylor Heinicke was playing pretty efficiently in Turner's system. If Heinicke is playing heads and shoulders better than Fitz, does TH get a legit shot to start game 1? |
Re: Fitzmagic Thread
I don't think Fitz would have came here without assurances the starting job would be his to lose.
Ron may talk about a "competition" at least to start off with, but that will be nothing more than coach speak. |

Fitzmagic is a bonafide NFL QB with a 15 year career. Heinicke has one NFL game in the last two years and that was because WFT was desperate for a QB who knew how the system worked. Unless Fitzmagic gets hurt he is the starter because there is zero chance that Heinicke outplays him. |

I think that he will give a reasonable attempt to push the eventual starter through competition. Also, Fitzgerald's money was not in the class of unquestioned starter, it definitely was backup qb pay. So while I think Fitz starts IF either qb clearly steps up I won't be surprised to see him be a backup. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |
