The more I keep hearing about the defense issues, the more that I see a lot of the same problems the defense had under Manusky: vanilla defense, no innovating blitzing, terrible communication, and bad zone coverage.

After the first three games that would be the last thing that would surprise me.

However, I also wouldn't be surprised if the defense actually played as advertised for once. Like Redskins247 said: "If not now, when?"

The defense can rationalize the chargers game “we were still in it in the end, first game…we will get better” as well as Giants performance “we got that dub…can’t complain”

Buffalo performance can’t be downplayed, by the players nor the coaches. They got humiliated.

I expect a big effort this weekend

Chase said on a radio interview yesterday re Del Rio - "thats my guy, hes a realist" then went on to say that there is a lot of communication btw players and Del Rio during games and in game planning and Del Rio is constantly changing things and taking what they say into account.

I personally didnt see any change against he Bills 1st half, but 2nd half they changed things a lot right from the first D snap of the second half. Putting more than 4 on the line, dropping Chase back in zone a bit.

^^ good film breakdown of Chase and Montez not being disciplined, trying to go outside for sacks and not containing their lane. Ryan Kerrigan special .. go outside, T just pushes him past the pocket and out of the play, leaves Qb plenty of room to climb the pocket and keep eyes down field.

What you say, and what you think aren’t always the same. Especially when it is your boss/coach/superior. I just cannot believe that Sweat, Payne, Allen, and Young are the ones not getting it done and JDR is. No fuckin way.

I noticed that multiple times Sunday against the Bills. Seems like Bills game plan to let him take the high lane, Allen would then step up in the pocket and then go to lane vacated by CY to his right and make a big play.

How many times have we seen this movie? After this weekend Matt Ryan will be referred to as Matty Ice again (at least for a week). Kyle Pitts will be talked about as OROY (at least for a week).

Lets look at the positives.

1. Chase Young is at least saying the right things publicly. coach and players are not divided or pointing fingers.

2. We all had fun during the TNF game against the Giants

That is a great break down showing the real estate Josh Allen then had just by simply being undisciplined. One of those plays would have likely been a sack an a FG instead of a touchdown. Kind of shows it is not just coaches. The execution is lacking but you can't bench CY or MS for being overaggressive.
