Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
To bad hes with a team who can't develop a Francaise RB.All that talent wasted............I mean Packers would have drafted a guy like him and made him a monster.
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
I love that he put his head down and blasted that guy instead of tip toeing out of bounds.
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
AP will be a monster big guy that runs hard. Very similar to Larry Johnson except he is faster than Johnson. But he runs very similar to him.

I would agree if AD had a OL.KC had a top ranked OL and a good O coordinator like Al to help get him where he is now.AD doesn't have that and with no real WR's or TE's or any other weapons besides AD and Chester could effect AD.Epically if a D coordinator knows you have none of that, take us for example well already know instant point they'll run. |
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
AP will be better than LT. This is the only player I would tune into college football to watch. I love seeing him run.
I think MNs Oline is good enough, not great. |

And dont count out Sidney Rice. Man was a playmaker in college and will be the number 1 target. And right now Chester Taylor will benefit Peterson more than hurt him. |

I think MNs Oline is good enough, not great.[/quote] Better than LT?? Hell no. He's a monster though. But he runs upright and takes a pounding. He'll get up there in football age quickly, but I think he'll be a goodie for a while... |
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
He'll learn to drop his pads. In my opinion, the only thing that can stop him is injuries. What RB has a long lifespan anymore?
It's a very bold prediction, and I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't eclipse LT. But I think he'll be an amazing back. |

LT is dominant both as a receiver and a rusher, scores a couple...ahh, forget all that. Let's get down to brass tacks- You're telling me that in his first 6 seasons AP is going to have 9200 rushing yards, 3000 receiving yards on 400 catches, 111 TDs, set the single season total TD record, win an MVP, and only miss ONE game in the process?? I'm gonna go out on a short limb and say hell no! |

Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
Great run kid. Now let's see how he does when Defenses are scheming for him.

Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
He will have to be incredible to top LT. LT has a rare combo of speed, power, vision and quickness. Basically, he's got it all. When all is said and done I think LT could possibly go down as the best RB ever. He'll at least be in the conversation.
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
You gotta love a PUNISHING runner. NO stepping out of bounds for him!
Oh, John, maybe you have.......just one more season in you???????? |

Plus, I don't think he'll be as durable as LT, from his running style and from his injury history. He could have some great seasons, but not as many as LT. |
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
I think AP and LT will both be in the conversation, but neither will eclipse Barry Sanders.
Is LT bold, very. Perhaps too bold. Let's just say this, I think AP will be an elite back in the NFL. |
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
peterson looks real sharp.... hes a beast

I love a back with a punishing style... but he better learn to step out of bounds and avoid some shots now and then. |

Running straight up like that leaves him pretty vulnerable too. He'll learn his lesson in Week 16. |
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
When Sean Taylor and Laron Landry meet him.
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
I'm here to toot my own horn, AP is looking pretty damn good. 300yds rushing, 3 TDs... wow.
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
record day
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
yeah he was sick! today. unfortunately he outdid portis, and portis had a great day too

You do realize hes rushed for over 200 yards twice and just broke the single game record today *my fault didnt notice the date on the post* |
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
yeah i think he's better than lt too...
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
benched him on my fantasy team for clinton. I meant to have clinton and him in but i didn't remember to do it this morning. I have clinton and lamont f...ing jordan. T
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
i actually had them both, lol... i did pretty good.
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
This kid is just incredible. He's blowing by defensive backs in the secondary like they're walking backwards, yet he's so incredibly strong at the same time. The guy looks like solid muscle.
Very well looking at history in the making with this kid. The record holders had better beware. |
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
AP is the new face of the NFL and rightly so...what a monster.
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
I'm scared that while in terms of ability when healthy he could hypothetically be one of the 5 best running backs of all time, the fact remains that running backs have a hard enough time staying healthy and given his medical history I just don't know how long he stay on his feet.

Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
I'm surprised nobody's explored the thought that we could have taken this kid. Based on what we've seen, who's the better pick, LL or AP? Taking AP and offloading Betts or Portis could have had all kinds of interesting outcomes. That said, I think LL is a friggin beast. He's one of the reasons I think our d could return to elite status as he moves up the learning curve.
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
So is Peterson going to be the #1 pick in all fantasy drafts next year? Has he surpassed Tomlinson now?
|
Re: Welcome to the NFL Adrian Peterson
I heard a fantasy expert on ESPN say that he would be the #1 overall on his big board next year as long as nothing happened with his health.

That is what John Thompson was talking about on his show today. I really wanted Dallas to get him even though they got MB3. If I was running the Redskins, I would have picked him (I know many of you will be saying thank god you are not). But I would trade CP and get a good OL in exchange, and let AP do the rest. He is like L.J. only quicker. They don't look to run out but lower their heads and punish you if you decide to tackel. They both remind me of of the Walter Payton. McFadden is the other one I think fans would like to see him wearing their team's jersey. Damn you Cleveland! |
