Most people who follow the draft considered him to be the only "can't miss" player on defense in the 2007 draft. He will be expected to start in DC right off the bat, and the Redskins hope that the team of him and Sean Taylor can help to fortify the secondary for a long time to come!![/SIZE][/FONT]

In typical LL fashion another NOSHOW! Stopped in after a motorcycle ride, just to check it out being it's just a couple of miles from my front door......NO LL.

This is like the 3rd or 4th time they said he pulled this for this event. Maybe tomorrow..? They are waiting to hear from his agent, but not holding there breath.

I know one thing Tidewater sports has had a belly full of LL, they were really pissed! As well they should be, we all understand things come up from time to time.

But three or four NO SHOW'S AT THE LAST MINUTE.....NOW YOU HAVE PISSED OFF FANS & a pissed off business. They were talking some major SHIT.

If they didn't already have all his shit in the back, they have a good place for it...?

Once again LL NO SHOW at Patrick Henry mall for his scheduled appearance today.

The folks at Tidewater sports said they spoke to his agent early morning, he was shooting on being at the store around 3-4pm and would call back to confirm. No confirmation call from LL agent.

So they started calling the agent back, countless times....no answer or returned calls.

I wonder why Landry is having issues making appearances everywhere (Chantilly, Tidewater etc)... he is supposed to do another appearance in NOVA in a week or two... who's taking bets about if he shows to that deal?

As long as he shows up on Sundays is all that matters. But he is showing a tendency to be unreliable outside the football field. He bailed on an ESPN interview on three separate occasions. Some would say good for him, way to stick it to the media. But still, it would nice if his fans could count on him for autograph signings and interviews.

I worry about someone who makes a committment and then bails.... and apparently does this on a regular basis. I think it goes alot to character.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, LaRon did not show up for his signing on Saturday. We are currently working on a number of solutions to get this fixed, but it is taking time, and we are working against the very tough schedule of a current NFL player. Here is what we are planning on trying to do:[/COLOR][/FONT][/I][/B]
[B][I][FONT=Verdana]1 - I am trying to set up a time to go to DC and meet with LaRon in the next week to get inventory signed and fulfill orders. This will at least allow us to get the items signed that people have paid for. Anyone who is currently holding an autograph ticket can drop their items off at the Patrick Henry location and can pick them up after the signing, or we will ship to them.
2 - We will bring in LaRon to the store at a time in the future to meet and greet the public. Anyone who has already bought a ticket and holds on to it, will be invited to a private event that will coinside with the public event. As an added bonus, anyone who keeps their autograph ticket and gets their item signed either through the private signing or at the rescheduled public event, will receive a complimentary autographed 8x10 of Landry.
3 - Due to the added costs of re-advertising, overhead, etc, once we announce the new date of the Landry signing, there MAY be a price increase for the autograph ticket. Probably in the $30 to $35 range. So by keeping your Landry ticket, you will save money in the long run.[/FONT][/I][/B]
[B][I][FONT=Verdana]The event with Landry WILL happen, it is just a matter of time. We are not sure of the new date, but the private signing could happen as soon as next week. The current $25 per autograph price will be honored until the end of this week, so tickets are still on sale via the stores and the website. However, purchasing a ticket now DOES NOT entitle you to attend the private event, or receive the complimentary 8x10. Those items are ONLY for people who purchased an in-store autograph ticket and it is dated on or before 9-1-07.[/FONT][/I][/B]

If you only want to play ball....great. Then don't make all these other committments outside of just playing ball. And then play Mr. NOSHOW time after time, folks do get pissed rightfully so.....that's just stupid and who is the piss poor manager of LL?

I agree, but in the same breath I don't. I live in Norfolk and really wanted to go to this signing. My lady's father was in town, so for me to go to this thing was pretty hard for me to explain why I won't be spending time with the family. At the last minute I decided not to go, but if I would have went, and LL didn't show up. I might have cut his jersey into peices and mailed it back to him. (no I wouldn't) , But I would have been that pissed.

Joey...look at it this way.... if your doing mail order, they are promising to get the item signed for you.... I would call them up and order one to get the cheaper price.
