ok, but I can agree he is depth, way deep, but you can't equate depth too preparing for AH's departure. This guy is camp fodder, who maybe shines a little, or maybe with AH beside him at end he can succeed. But this signing has 0 impact on whether the team is in a position, both talent- and depth- wise, to release, trade, or otherwise lose a player of AH's caliber.

Wanted to give you the honor :)...actually I didn't want to start a separate thread on each of them....honestly, I only knew that Torain was about to be signed and heard maybe one of the receivers from this weekend as well. Those were the only specifics I had at the time. Schefter's such a glory hog he keeps info to himself sometimes :) j/k

What happened to Jerry Porter? They mentioned he caught everything thrown his way yesterday and looked solid. I was sure they would keep Porter and let Hagans go. Plus they go out and pick up another RB? What it he preseason fodder then PS?

Shanny is a freaking radical hahaha! Haynesworth is gone! you don't want to be here then bye. At the end of the day they gonna judge Shanny harder than Haynesworth. If he ain't getting the picture then bye. If he can't understand what Portis and Santana Moss understand, we trying to win it all now!!! Case in point: Mc Nabb, the offensive line is straight . The subject of Green was the last thing mentioned during La Canfora's article about a possible AH trade and they might get him as insurance if they did trade AH. Check out the story on my AH Trade Possible thread. Green was mentioned. Of course it( the Green acquisition) might just be for depth purposes, but you never know.

and I believe that there is a subtle message being sent to Big Al as well. He is great, we all know, but he cannot just come in and assume the starting position because EVERYBODY is competition. Who knows, one of these guys may become a sleeper or Al may come in out of shape and we are forced to start someone else. But you are right about the diamond. Possibly

Howard green is brought in as a NT, and I think Kemo's leg will be ready by the first couple games of the year. I think Kemo will be placed on the PUP List.

Well, considering that Kemo is as big as he is, and the fact that he isn't even running yet, on his recovering torn ACL, I believe that he really won't do anything in camp, and he'll eventually play for us, but I think that come mid september/october, he'll be fully healed, but for now Haslett is moving around Haynesworth, Gholston, Green, and Montgomery at NT to see who would go there for now.

He had a torn Achilles' tendon, not an ACL

Exactly, and I think they are going to take it slow so he doesn't re-injure the thing. He supposedly would be ready, or so I thought I heard, around game 2 or 3. So we only need someone to fill in for game 1 and 2 and be back up to him in case he gets re-injured. If you ask me you either have on heck of a NT and the other players look good because of him or you have two extremely good DE's with a mediocre NT. I think we all can agree having Daniels/Orakpo on one side and AH on the other would mean we don't have to have the best NT.

I heard he should be ready at some point during training camp, haven't heard anything about it extending into the season. I'm sure we'll know more as we get closer to the summer.

He was at training camp i saw him in the videos.
