Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
Posted at 9:43 AM ET, 04/20/2010 Redskins' schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
The NFL schedule will be released at 7 p.m., but Commissioner Roger Goodell gave a bit of a glimpse at it on "Mike and Mike" this morning. It's no surprise, but he did confirm that all the Week 17 matchups will be divisional games. With that in mind, we thought we'd get your take on the matter. Of course, you'd always rather see the Redskins beat the daylights out of play the Dallas Cowboys, but does the McNabbian-Eagles connection complicate that? You'll get the "when" at 7 p.m., but you already know the "who" and "where" of the schedule: Home games: Green Bay, Minnesota, Houston, Indianapolis, Tampa Bay, Dallas, New York Giants, Philadelphia Road games: Chicago, Detroit, Jacksonville, Tennessee, St. Louis, Dallas, New York Giants, Philadelphia |

At least our road opponents are far easier than our home games.

Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
My ideal schedule: just cuz.
Philadelphia @ Philadelphia (Eagles will have a lot of rookies on their team and McNabb will get best support in Philly since Redskins haven't gone 7-0 yet like when we meet again) St. Louis @ St. Louis (no Bradford won't start hot) Tampa Bay @ Fedex (nice home start for Donovan) Houston @ Fedex (Houston Offense will be stuttering and we will start soaring) Giants @ NY Nice to beat them in our first game at their new stadium Detroit @ Detroit They are getting better, but we take revenge Dallas @ Fedex Dallas is questioning Romo. Philly @ Fedex at 8-0 FedEx sounds awesome Chicago @ Chicago We finally score a Defensive TD! Bye week then it gets tough ;) Green Bay @Fedex Minnesota @ Fedex Jacksonville@Jax Tennessee@Tenn NYG @ Fedexclinch division FEDEX Erupts Indy @ Fedex A true meaningless game where starters rest across the board Dallas @ Dallas close out the season and Wade Phillips coaching career |

The best part about this is... We have a equally talented QB on our side for a change. I don't think other fans or teams will be so fast to put a "W" on there predicted schedule card vs the Redskins this season. I can't wait! |
Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
Who is going to make the printable schedule like the one from last year?

I'll take your no comment as proof positive that my plan is absolutely written in stone. If it doesn't pan out this way, I will take your muah ha ha ha as proof that you purposely thwarted our Championship season! |
Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
Schedule notables:
Green Bay -- haven't defeated the Packers since 1988. Detroit -- 4 games with the Lions in 4 years, 3 in a row at Detroit. |

Is it just me or does the title seem misleading? I thought players were getting released.

Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
I'm positive the first Monday Night Game will be Washington VS Philly. At least I hope it is:)

I think they already announced that the 1st Monday Night game will be at the new stadium in the NJ swamplands. I think the Jets host it. That could be the Sunday nighter though I guess...I don't see the point though. The opening week games are so highly rated anyway that you could put any teams on and get high ratings. I think they will save McNabb vs Eagles and allow a little buildup for it. |
Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
What weekend does this season start? Anyone know? I am already getting hit with family obligations. Seriously I ask for 17 Sundays a year to enjoy football and everyone and their mother has to book some family outing during on those days, so annoying!

Redskins 2010 regular season schedule Channel 4's Dan Hellie has obtained a copy of the Redskins' 2010 regular season schedule. The Redskins will open the season at home against the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football on Sept. 12 and play two additional prime-time games -- a Sunday night game at FedEx Field against the Colts in Week 6 and a Monday Night Football game at home against the Eagles in Week 10. According to a Tweet from Hellie, the Redskins play eight games before the bye week: Dallas at home, Houston at home, at St. Louis, at Philadelphia, Green Bay at home, Indianapolis at home, at Chicago, at Detroit. After the bye, they play the Eagles at home, at Tennessee, Minnesota at home, at the Giants, Tampa Bay at home, at the Cowboys, at Jacksonville, and then conclude the season against the Giants at FedEx Field. The NFL is scheduled to release the entire 2010 schedule at 7 p.m. Coach Mike Shanahan is slated to talk about it on ESPN2 at 7:15 p.m. |

For the life of me, I don't understand why a 4-12 team has so many goddamn prime time games.

Let's hope we look better in prime time than last year's national embarrassment. |
Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
^ Yeah, that's one of the things I don't like about them -- we usually look like crap.
That and the fact that I'm guaranteed not to get any sleep those nights. Plus I hate waiting all day for the Sunday night games, or all weekend for Monday nights. F primetime games. |
Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
Seeing some of the top offenses on the schedule makes a pick like -Berry,McClain,Graham or Haden even more of a need imo.

Its because you pussy foot around and let them think that its Ok to plan stuff durn the game. Its so easy to tell them just pull up the skins schedule and you can plan things around that. The last thing that my family planned durn a Skins game was my grandfathers funeral which of course that a different story. So if they are smart they will use the weekends of primetime games and the bye weekend to plan family events. Its not that hard and if someone tries to plan something I tell them I have obligations that day and I've had them planned for 5 months. I actually pissed off my mother and father in law once because they came over unannounced and got offended because I was in the middle of watching a football game. When I approached him latter he said they felt like I ignored them so I responded like this. Sorry if you felt that way but next time I will cut off the game after I have been watching it for 2 1/2 hours so we can chat. He then realized how stupid he sounded. |
Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
It looks like the 1st half of the season is easier then the 2nd half. If the team can go 5-3 before the break, we can have some genuine optimism for the remainder of the year.
We have a tougher home schedule then away this year, which is also good. Time to establish a Home field advantage. 5-3 at home should get us into the playoffs, I hope. |
Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
We should be 6-2 at home. We need to leaarn how to win at Fed-Ex. I beleive shanny will get it done. One thing I always notice at home games:
When the away team takes the field after the half many times they score. I blame it on us not being in our seats screaming for the D. We have to do our parts as well. |

Last season??? I don't remember this thing called last season. I remember a recurring nightmare where we could not score, but then I woke up in Jan and Shanahan is our coach, so I know it must not have been real. |

Yup and we know how that turned out. That's why analyzing the schedule now is so pointless. Hell you really don't know what team you're getting a lot of times until you actually play them. An "easy" game now could easily be a hot team when you play them. |

Agreed but I just pray she doesn't book it on 10/3, my brother in law's family is from Philly so everyone is going to want to see that game, badly. |
Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
As a season ticket holder living in NJ this schedule could not be any worse for me. Obviously being 4 hours away I have to pick and choose which night games i can attend. When i looked at the 2010 matchups the 3 games that I said I will never miss were the home opener obviously, Philly and Indy since I like Manning and he may never play in DC again. As bad luck would have it all 3 are night games. Now were talking vacation days...driving home in the middle of the night or costly hotel stays. And all this on the heels of getting fkd last year with all 3 divisional home games at night. I know non ticket holders or locals don't care but I needed to complain about it anyway.

Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
Anyone else get a chuckle out of the 2 hour schedule release last night on NFLN? I know it's a regular thing now, but man, a 2 hour show dedicated to the release of the NFL schedule? LOL talk about overkill. But then again we're set for even more overkill on Thurs. night.

Re: Redskins schedule to be released at 7 p.m.
The only thing I care about is the fact that our bye week is right smack in the middle of the season again. Not sure I like all the prime-times games being at the beginning of the season....I love not having wait all day to watch the game.
Oh and Dalla's schedule looks brutal. If they get 10 wins I'll be surprised and if they do their chance of going to the SB is sky high. F...Dallas and all it's Cowboy fans. HTTR. |

LOL....I suppose 24 hour cable has to have something to show. If people tune in they'll continue with the overkill. |
