Show it -- Your final 2010 first round Mock Draft
Well, it's that time.
You can trade picks all over the round, it can be crazy like that. Though I'd suggest if you have the Redskins trading down, you might want to show your logic of having one of the "Big 3" slip through. Trades should lean slightly in favor of the team that is trading up (value-wise), but it should at least look like you've seen the NFL draft pick value chart before. Go to 32 if you can, but if you run past that, I'm not going to stop you. |
Re: Show it -- Your final 2010 first round Mock Draft
when are you posting yours? and is supposed to be serious, or Maddenesque?

Re: Show it -- Your final 2010 first round Mock Draft
How about just not factor trades into any mock. They hardly take place in the first, much less at a frequency in which they can be predicted with success.
Leave the trades for the trigger-pullers on draft day. Do a mock with the current sequential positions and without any swaps. I'd like to do one before the draft starts tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have time. |
Re: Show it -- Your final 2010 first round Mock Draft
lot of trades.. and tebow @ 15.. mccoy then clausen at end of first tripp? interesting

I feel very confident within about 9 picks. Not that the teams are right, but the players are. After that, who knows. |
Re: Show it -- Your final 2010 first round Mock Draft
How about top ten picks?
That should be pretty easy for everyone to jot on a post and still have reasonable responses. |
Re: Show it -- Your final 2010 first round Mock Draft
I don't know why but when I picked for the Falcons they switched the logo to the Redskins logo. So don't think I gave the Redskins two first round picks rather realize that the program made an error and accidentally assigned the Redskins logo to the Falcons.

Re: Show it -- Your final 2010 first round Mock Draft
Here's mine:
1. Rams: Sam Bradford, QB (If Spags doesn't get his franchise QB now, when will he?) 2. Lions: Russell Okung, OT (Lions are too vested in Stafford to see his potential thwarted by the opposing DL. Their 2nd is still high enough to secure a defensive standout) 3. Bucs: Gerald McCoy, DT (The best player for the Bucs 4-3 scheme. Suh vows to make them regret passing him) 4. Skins: Trent Williams, OT (A reach with #4 but the Skins have extreme need) 5. Chiefs: Ndamukong Suh, DT (Chiefs can't believe what fell from the heavens and right into their lap. Thank you cards to the above four teams are already in the mail) 6. Hawks: CJ Spiller, RB (P. Carroll gets his 'Backdoor Man') 7. Browns: Eric Berry, S (Would be Clausen but he'll drop past 15. Holmgren will select a QB to be tutored by Delhomme with 2nd or 3rd Rounder) 8. Raids: Joe Haden, CB (Pairing the best CB on the board with Asomugha for a stiff secondary) 9. Bills: Bryan Bulaga, OT (The Bills need for the Tackle spot matches the Skins) 10. Jags: Earl Thomas, S (Tough pick as the Jags could have gone for Center M. Pouncy to eventually take over for Meester) 11. Broncos: Dez Bryant, WR (Eddie Royal can't be left as their #1) 12. Phins: Dan Williams, DT (After trading for Marshall, Parcells goes defense with this pick) 13. 49ers: Sergio Kindle, OLB (Another playmaker is added to the 9ers stout LB corp, Singletary secretly recreating the '86 Bears evil twin) 14. Hawks: Mike Iupati, G (Carroll won't forget fundamentals his 2nd time around the coaching block. Spiller's gamebreaking ability complemented with this selection) 15. NYG: Rolando McClain, ILB (The best ILB on the board is a great consolation prize to losing Pierce) Ahhh...that was fun. Really glad I got to do it before the draft. I'm all extra horned up for the draft now. Wish we had more than one pick though, I'd like to at least have the opportunity to get some of these 2nd & 3rd rounders on our team. I'm really pumped to see what the seahawks do with their 2 first rounders. That will be interesting to see. |

Just going to ESPN. After that I take a screenshot of my desktop with the Prnt Scrn button (right next to the insert key on my computer). Go to paint, paste the desktop image, cut out the relevant part, upload it to photobucket, and then post it here. Sounds complicated but in reality it's simple. Thanks. My personal favorite pick though in terms of corners was Patrick Robinson to the Vikings. I think I picked up on that random second round guy that always seems to make it to the first round. |

Re: Show it -- Your final 2010 first round Mock Draft
Here's my insane mock for the Skins 1st-round only:
Skins trade Albert Haynesworth, Jason Campbell and their 4th, 5th round picks to the Rams for the #1 pick, plus the Rams second-round pick. Redskins draft SUH at #1, OKUNG at #4 and SAFFOLD in round 2. They get their DT and QB, we get our LT, RT and a replacement for Big Al. No, not really. Here's my real projections (Top 10): 1 St. Louis Rams - Sam Bradford, QB, OU 2 Detroit Lions - Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska 3 Tampa Bay Bucs - Gerald McCoy, DT, OU 4 Washington Redskins - Trent Williams, OT, OU 5 Kansas City Chiefs - Russell Okung, OT, OSU 6 Seattle Seahawks - CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson 7 Cleveland Browns - Eric Berry, S, Tenn 8 Oakland Raiders - Dez Bryant, WR, OSU 9 Buffalo Bills - Rolondo McClain, ILB, Alabama 10 Jacksonville Jaguars - Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers Claussen will drop to the TWENTIES and someone will trade up to get him. Tebow will go in Round 1. Perhaps Minnesota at #30. Colt McCoy in Round 2, early, my choice is Buffalo. Redskins will get a 2nd-round pick in a trade. |

It's ok Ruhskins, it'll all be better when we draft Bradford. Edit: Or Berry -
Loud buzz on Berry at No. 4 2:54 PM ET Washington Redskins Top Email Update: The suggestion of Eric Berry being picked by the Redskins is gaining a ton of steam throughout media circles. Read on for some background on the Redskins' thought process today: Given ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter's relationship with Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, he might get a little more information from the man than anyone else. Luckily, he likes to pass the information on to you, so we all win. The latest snippet came during an appearance on Thursday morning on ESPN Radio. Regarding the Redskins' definitely going with an offensive tackle at No. 4 overall, Schefter said, "I'm not so sure about that. It's the obvious pick and I think they have some things up their sleeve, is my guess." Schefter confirmed that the 'Skins are trying to move down from No. 4, but there's also a report from NFL Fanhouse that they're still trying to move up, too, to grab Sam Bradford. Here's another suggestion that really isn't that wild, but would depart from the idea that they need to take an OT at No. 4: Michael Lombardi of National Football Post thinks that they could take safety Eric Berry. We think before this day is through, the Redskins do have something up their sleeve, although it might involve later round picks being exchanged for a player or two that currently wears the burgundy and gold.
|
Re: Show it -- Your final 2010 first round Mock Draft
If I was going to place my money on their choice. I have to say Okung. I think Berry is the only other guy in the mix, and only if a trade is made for a LT.
It's very hard for me to imagine anyone trading up to draft a Safety, a DT, or an OL. I say 70-30 Okung-Berry. If Bradford, Claussen, Bulaga or Williams gets picked, my dinner is coming up. |
