I just got another package in the mail to get back my season tickets and they said to come watch McNabb and had him on the ticket. So I guess they are going to take the option to keep him.

If football was not on I'd just play more golf and go fishing more often.

I think it gets done with an 18 game season. My wife will love me watching the skins playing 21 games next year.

I agree, there is no way both sides could be so stupid as to not play in 2011.

Re: WTF would I do without Redskins football for a year?

I would have plenty of time to play basketball and weather the winter weight gain. Right now I only get about 40 min to play before I have to make a dash to the the sports bar... it would be nice to stay for 2 hours.

It's fun to watch a train wreck...I hope they cutoff their nose to spite their face. I of course will be back but losing the casual fans will hurt their pocket books and alright with me.

My wife is cool with me watching the games and she plans stuff around the games. She enjoys watching the games herself but its a bit tougher with a 3 yr old. Its really one of the only things I ask her to plan around so it just not a big deal.

My fiance asked me how much football I watch a week...she was shocked by the answer and so was I. I figured I watched about 10 hours of football a week (Ducks, Skins, Huskies, Seahawks, VT, MNF, SNF, random NCAAF games). She tells me there will be better things to do once we are married and living together and I told her I only need 5 minutes max.

Take it back where it belongs, High school and college games.....where the players play for the game .

Now that's dumb the AXE would cut to deep. OK now that I think about it, it might be less painful. :)

I suggest you drop the Seachickens. They're going to be fielding poor quality teams in the future.

Oh I just keep an eye on the hawks long enough to know how to best give delusional hawks fans the business. I enjoyed the KC game last Sunday. Honestly though, I really "watch watch" the Skins and the Ducks.

I think it will get done....

However if it doesn't, I'm defintley going to a bigtime college football game in leu of going to a Redskins game next year...

I honestly would be kind of interested to see what would happen without NFL football. I agree with Saden in saying, I'd probably be in awesome shape... I'd do more fall things on Sundays since we have such nice falls. Maybe go hunting or something, I don't know... I mean I never want it to actually happen, but I think a year off from football would be kind of interesting.

Well you listed about 8 games at about 3 hours each so your really around 24 hours of football. Anyone else think Saden is going to get hit with reality when he gets home from the honeymoon? Saden what else do you do for entertainment as a single man?

Re: WTF would I do without Redskins football for a year?

Well, I suppose I'd stay pretty current with new release movies if there is no football to watch on Sunday afternoon. I'd also take more Sunday afternoon naps. If I need a football fix, I could always play Madden.

Re: WTF would I do without Redskins football for a year?

Not having football on sunday would be sad but at the same time would open up the schedule. Would have no problem finding things to do & I wouldn't be rushing, trying to do house projects before game.

My wife is a football fan, though for the opposite teams. She's a cowpoke fan & went to UVA. Our son is 14 months old & has clothes of each team, a couple little footballs he always carries around & 'football' was actually the first real word he spoke.

So yeah, we would miss it if there's a strike, but I think for the long-term health of the nfl a work stoppage is actually needed. In 06 the owners signed the deal simply to avoid the stoppage, then they were unhappy w/it. I don't want to see that happen again, and I'd be willing to wait for a good deal.

Re: WTF would I do without Redskins football for a year?

With a new baby on the way next year, I figured I wouldn't have much time to watch much football next year even if there was a season (which I think there will be)

As it is, I don't even watch that much on Sunday afternoons. I tend to watch a bit here and there but more often will watch later at night or the next day. My days and many of nights are consumed with sports, so Saturday and Sunday afternoons I usually spend that time decompressing from sports before the next week.

Actually you will find that with a new born they sleep allot so you find yourself sitting around stuck in the house with more time to watch TV. That's what my wife told me anyways.

Re: WTF would I do without Redskins football for a year?

It's insane how much football i really do watch .. having the football package on sundays take's it to another level .. especially out here in AZ .. i literally start watching games at 10am until 8pm . that's like the entire day ... obviously i painfully watch every Skins' game .. but RED ZONE feature on DirectTV kicks so much ass for fantasy football

Without the Redskins for a year, the general health and well-being of men and select women in and around the beltway will improve substantially.

I'd probably be a lot happier, these Skins have been so frustrating to watch the past few years, and when they lose Im in a bad mood for 2 days.Im second guessing myself on buying the sunday ticket this yr,they are so frustrating to watch and every frickin game theyve won has come down to the wire and almost gives you a heart attack.

Sometimes it's on, sometimes I just get alerts, or listen to it on my phone while I'm doing stuff. It really varies, but I always know whats going on and I see the game by the next morning at the latest. Sometimes I'll watch a different version of the game though

Now instead of waging war on the field, you will be in a competition with your fellow sign-holders to see who can chant the loudest and be the most inspiring to the common man!

don't forget the parking lot scenes where some replacements try to come in, and you get MMA fighting scenes to go with it. Imagine Lorenzo A going at it with Joe Schmo. Or A Johnson using his patented upper cut.

Pure marketing Genius.

Man they are all equally to blame if it comes to that. Sit down, figure it out, and make it work for everyone. It's a frickin game and they all are being paid a king's ransom. Improve health benefits, players take a bit of a cut to make that happen, Owners open their books and work out real solutions. Hell impose a media blackout, and get a deal done in the "dark". (this isn't even blaming the media, when the founding fathers wanted to tear up the articles of confederation, they went into a bldg, locked out media and everyone else, and got the deal done. The NFL is big, but it ain't new country formation big)
