Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
If what Dilfer is saying about Yates is true then Shanahan will be all over him. Tony Romo like, quick release, progression passer, needs a lot of work on mechanics. Sounds like a Shanahan type guy.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Gallery to Seahawks a done deal?
9:14 AM ET Robert Gallery | Raiders | Interested: Seahawks? TopEmailComments 2 After the Seattle Seahawks drafted a pair of offensive linemen Thursday and Friday night, new offensive line coach Tom Cable said both were likely to start this season, according to Doug Farrar of SportsPressNW.com. Cable projected an offensive line with Max Unger at center, Russell Okung and first-round pick James Carpenter at tackles, and third-round pick John Moffitt and a "nameless free agent" at guards. That "nameless free agent" is, in all likelihood, Robert Gallery, who formerly played for Cable on the Oakland Raiders. It's been known for months that Gallery would be leaving the Raiders in free agency, and believed that he would be re-joining former Raiders head coach Cable in the Pacific Northwest. Sounds like Cable is convinced that he'll have that free agent on his roster by opening day. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
From Redskins.com
Jenkins, 6-4 and 309 pounds, is expected to play defensive end in Jim Haslett’s 3-4 scheme in Washington
So maybe they should pick a NT now. Jerrell Powe at 330lbs Ian Williams at 305lbs. Anyone else available at NT that should be looked at? |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Remember don't take players that didn't play at SEC schools. In fact how SEC players are still available is beyond me. Maybe the league has limits to how many SEC player teams are allowed to have to keep competitive balance or something.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
We're going to trade our picks for picks next year according to Adam S. But but, I want rookies NOW!
|
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
4th rounders for 3rd roundrs next year. 5th rounders for 4th rounders. and 6th rounders for 5th roundrs.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
I am very pleased with this draft strategy so far (aside from the @@&% Titans stealing Locker).
I would like to see us take Mark Herzlich from BC (if the medical checks out). Maybe I am a dreamer...but it can't hurt to have a guy like him in the locker room. I would also be all for taking a flyer on Tyrod Taylor as a developmental QB. |

Getting a bump up in in a round for picks next year isn't bad. Says this FO is really trying to BUILD a team. Me likey. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
@Carolina Draft a corner. Draft a corner. Or a Pac 10 player.

Yeah, as an Iowa homer, I am offended they are shying away from Stanzi. |

For God sakes theres an SEC QB out there that we can draft in McElroy. S E C as in Super Elite Conference. And I don't think we're at our SEC player limit. By the way I got my wish with Carolina. Drafted a Corner Now Seattle. Draft a corner draft a corner or a pac 10 player |

Are you really that bitter that VT has ECU's number? Get over yourself. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
It's been a long time since I've said this, but I think I'm starting to trust our FO on this one. If they trade for next year's picks, great. If they find value here, great. A QB? If you say so. C or G? If they're on top of the board, sure!

You forgot to mention that Dilfer also said in the same sentence his mechanics were a train wreck. LOL |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Well, shit. I was hoping to see Boling here.

Interesting, so get ammo for a QB next year? |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
I say try and get another WR and really stack our Wr corp. Then load up on LBs and Gs.

Well I'm hearing that next years class is indeed better. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
NO CLINTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! Not only did they take a Guard they took an SEC player. BTW How do the Redskins expect to win with two ACC players and a "Big" 10 player.

Alternate Response: Are you saying that steroids and bribery don't work? |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Are you really that bitter that VT has ECU's number? Get over yourself.
lol....This has nothing to do with ECU vs VT. You should have ECU's number. Better recruits and more money to pay them with. However, that wasn't my argument. In fact, the first person I compared Tyrod with was Pat White (not from ECU). If you can't get it that those types of QBs (who excel in college) are not NFL QBs, then chances are you are a homer. Nothing wrong with it, but it's a bit deluded hearing guys "HEY LETS PICK MY FAVORITE PLAYER BECAUSE HE PLAYS AT MY SCHOOL". Pat White (WV) > Dominique Davis (ECU) > Tyrod Taylor (VT) All great college QBs, but not NFL QBs. Get over it. |
