Pimp That Product
There are a lot of products out there that we love and think highly of so why not have a thread dedicated to them?
|
Re: Pimp That Product
I'll start it off by highly recommending Nike Dri-Fit Socks. If you don't own these you don't own the best socks on the market. They are the shit for working out and the black version make for great dress socks too. Oh, and each socks is labeled for left/right foot. Three thumbs up!

Re: Pimp That Product
I-Pod Classic 160 GB. Serves as a backup hard drive as well as a juke box that allows me to put on more music and videos then I ever dreamed possible. Also the use of solid buttons makes it much safer to use in the car then a touch screen. Seriously I have like a 1,000 songs that I ripped from my parents 80's CD's just because I can. I haven't even heard most of them and probably never will.
Unfortunately that is not true. That is what Apple leads you to believe, but depending on the size of the music files it can be dramatically lower. I have a 160GB ipod classic bought in 2010. I have 23,892 songs and 2,096 albums at 320 with only 7.2GB of storage left. I will be lucky if I hit 25,000 songs.
Only real drawback is the small 4X3 screen with a max resolution of 480p. Still ,very happy I chose it over a 16 GB Touch. |

Those are money. I also use Wright anti-blister socks whens running. They are double layered and I have never gotten one blister wearing them. Not too good for dress socks though :) |

i'm still rocking the og ipod classic my wife has had since they came out, it's time for a new one and i've been debating touch vs classic, i like the simple part of the classic but i would like the wifi of the touch. do you have both or just the classic? and personally i stick with the low cut premium puma socks, but that's only when i am forced to, i'm a flip flop kinda guy my self and if you want a money pair of flops you gotta go with Reef fannings, never go w/o a bottle opener again. i'm waiting for these to show up any day now REEF > GUYS > FOOTWEAR > PERFORMANCE > RF-002416 LEATHER FANNING |
Re: Pimp That Product
I say this a lot when people talk about iPods, but seriously consider getting a non-Apple one. You don't have to deal with the clunky iTunes interface and in most cases it's WAY cheaper. The rest just show up like a hard drive and you drag-and-drop.

Re: Pimp That Product
Also, I love socks.

Re: Pimp That Product
Starting to get a weird opening scene to American Pie vibe here.

I can't cook much but the one thing that I think I can make pretty well involves this stuff. I basically just tried to copy the Thai Peanut Saute from Noodles & Co. but at this point I like mine more. I start out with some grilled chicken, seasoned with garlic, pepper, season-all, lemon, & lime juice. Then I make some whole wheat pasta, steamed broccoli, carrots, green beans, and I recently started adding a little bit of spinach. Then top everything off with this peanut sauce, a little soy sauce, and a few sprinkles of Old Bay. Its spicy and pretty filling. I think I could eat it every night. |
Re: Pimp That Product
Nice, good thinking on hot sauce. Everyone already knows about it, but how about Frank's Red Hot on pizza?! Best stuff ever.

Ever since I discovered Cholula, it's the only hot sauce I choose to use |
Re: Pimp That Product
I switched from Franks to Sriracha.

Re: Pimp That Product
I'm not into Hot Wings and sauce, but my wife, son and lots of folks swear by it. If you want to use the same sauce as many of the Navy Spec Ops guys, try it out. My wife and I know the owners, good people.
Lendy's Cafe, Virginia Beach Lendys |

How is your business going SS? I still want to stop in for lunch one day but it seems every time I'm in the area its early mooring. |
Re: Pimp That Product
I just discovered it about a month ago but it has changed my life.
Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce. The BEST hot sauce ever. It has a nice kick but unlike most hot sauces, it has an awesome chili-smokey FLAVOR in addition to the heat. In fact, since I have picked up a bottle of this, all of my other hot sauces have been neglected. I've tried it on everything. It's amazing on pizza and hot dogs. I've put it on burgers, scrambled eggs, pasta, chicken, etc. Even taking plain, white rice and stirring in some of this makes some tasty rice...no other seasonings needed. I've heard of people putting it in oatmeal...I'll have to try that. Get some rooster sauce. You'll thank me. |

What's that, the Nuva-ring? |
Re: Pimp That Product
Someone needs to move this thread back to general products, otherwise it will just be a hot sauce thread
|
Re: Pimp That Product
Hot sauce is awesome, you can't blame the product.
But to honor your wishes, we'll discuss another great product that's not a hot sauce. BACON. |

For real, iTunes for Windows is one of the worst really popular applications ever made. FYI: I build applications for a living |

If you like wings, you'll enjoy it.
I sold the pizza business at the end of Dec. It was too much trying to run that and do my "day" job. With the poor economy for the restaurant business and losing money out the back door by the employees, it wasn't worth it. |

Re: Pimp That Product
Im a Texas Pete guy for hot sauce, but only because it has my name in the product, im sure if I took a unbaisd approach I would like something different.
I consider sriracha different then hot sauce. I eat more pho (Pho So 1 for anyone in Richmond) and go through more Sriracha than anyone I know. I too am all about the Rooster sauce, however, yesterday a friend brought this over to my place because she didnt know better: Sell Sriracha Hot Chili Sauceļ¼China Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce-Sriracha Hot Chili SauceManufacturers & Suppliers Its honestly better . I think (also not 100% sure this is the right picture). This stuff was definitely hotter and more sriracha-ie tasting, hard to describe. I will get the regular Rooster style and do a taste test and post the results later. Also the best hoisin sauce: Koon Chun Hoisin Sauce - 15 oz jar x 2: Amazon.com: Grocery & Gourmet Food |

Re: Pimp That Product
I, like others, love the cock (rooster) sauce. Delicious on about everything.
When it comes to iPods, you CAN use Winamp to sync songs/etc. I refuse to install itunes. Terrible product. |
