Re: Dwayne Haskins
Well at least we didn't give up draft picks. I have the feeling Gruden isn't going to want to play him right away so he can try and keep his job. I say you start him day one and just live with his mistakes. You don't draft him to sit. Play him and start him day one. No one wants to see Keenum or Colt.
As far as Rosen was concerned, he wasn't going to move the needle here in DC. I feel that is why we never pulled the trigger on him. |
Re: Dwayne Haskins
Doug loves him, as do I. Kid is awesome

Re: Dwayne Haskins
Walter Football breakdown:
Dwayne Haskins*, QB, Ohio State Height: 6-3. Weight: 231. Arm: 33.50. Hand: 9.63. 40 Time: 5.04. Projected Round (2019): Top-20. 4/22/19: Haskins has flashed the ability to be an NFL quarterback, but he needs to become more consistent. In 2018, he completed 70 percent of his passes for 4,831 yards with 50 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Haskins struggled as a pocket passer against Penn State, but dominated Michigan's tough defense. As a sophomore, he completed 70 percent of his passes for 565 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. Haskins has a strong arm with the potential to be a pocket passer who hurts defenses. He has talent, but there are stretches during which everything is just a little bit off with him. His decision-making is not consistent, and he makes some bad plays in terms of ball security. Haskins' field vision needs to improve, and he has to get faster at working through his progressions. His footwork also needs improvement, and his ball placement can be off. Haskins should have returned to Ohio State for 2019 to improve his overall play before going to the NFL, but financially it was a smart decision as Haskins looks destined to go in the top 20. He was first-year starter in 2018 and has upside to grow. Haskins had solid interviews at the combine to solidify his status as a high first-rounder. |

Re: Dwayne Haskins
IMO I would sit him and let him learn for the first half of season at least. IMO I think Haskins is a poor pick at qb. Much better class next year...once again Bruce and Dan have made a QB decision
What’s their record at QB? |

What’s their record at QB?
Look what happened to the Giants when they waited on a QB. They ended up with Daniel Jones at #6. I don't blame them for taking him. I'm glad they didn't reach for him or give up the farm for him. |
Re: Dwayne Haskins
Terrible passer under pressure....not good on the deep ball, and moves poor in the pocket.
He needs a clean pocket 24/7 and unproven with poor receivers. He may have had the best receivers core this year in college. |

Not like this, they were great this year. Paris Campbell and the other guy will go 2nd and 3rd round this year. |
Re: Dwayne Haskins
Riddick, Charles Davis, and Mayock are my 3 favorite analysts. Mayock is gone. Gonna see what Charles Davis says later. But I trust Riddick's opinion as much or more than anyone else.

If they were great, they'd be first rounders. Like I said, I didn't want a QB, but I'm glad they didn't do anything stupid to get a QB. Alex's injury put us in a situation where we need a QB. Plain and simple, and if one falls in your lap, you take it. We still have a lot of picks to get enough talent. |
Re: Dwayne Haskins
We need a baller WR in the second cause Haskins gonna need some talent

Any QB for this team needs talent on offense period. Also, I'm thinking more and more that Haskins is a Doug Williams pick: https://twitter.com/BuckyBrooks/status/1121594865463070723 |
Re: Dwayne Haskins
Here is a very in-depth article about Haskins. Looks like there is reason for concern.

This is a Dan/Bruce pick period.
Come on you know better |
Re: Dwayne Haskins
This is a Dan/Bruce pick period.
Come on you know better
And Doug. Read Craig Hoffman's tweets about this notion. He said this wasn't a Dan/Bruce vs. football people. JP also said something similar and that what people were opposed to was a trade up, which didn't happen. Sorry, I just don't buy on the trash that Russell/Paulsen/The Junkies keep putting out there. I've lived through the gaffes that Dan Snyder has done, and this is nothing like it. |

However, I don't get why so many of you are trying to tear this guy down. We got the best qb in the draft. He has very good passing skills. Instead of focusing on things he can't do. Lets look at what he does well. |
Re: Dwayne Haskins
Huge fan.
Happiest I've been with a FRP since Kerrigan. It's possible I'm a Big 10 homer though. Just happy I'm not a Giants fan. Ridiculous pick they made at 6. |

I'm not sure what you mean. I love the pick personally. And I love the Sweat pick. Both rife with risk, but go big or go home. |
Re: Dwayne Haskins
I'm satisfied with this pick. He has a lot of potential, IMO, and we didn't do anything crazy to get him.

Haskins is no different from Jones, Murray or Lock. They all have negative plays. |
Re: Dwayne Haskins
I'm just going to say this. Name me ONE Urban Myer QB during his history of coaching that went on to become anything worth a shit in the NFL?
Mark my words. Haskins will be a bust. Spread offense QBs don't translate very well to the NFL. Give me a pro-style behind the center QB any day of the week. He could succeed if they sat him for 2-3 years while he learned, but no way is that going to happen with these dipshits at the helm. Just my .02 |

I personally wouldn't want him as my QB but he has been a average NFL starter. Also pretty much everyone is in shotgun coming out of college. There are really only a few offenses in college that don't run spread. |

:laughing2 :laughing2 :laughing2 :laughing2 A QB who's only manage to throw over 20 TDs in a season three times during his 13 year tenure. His max TDs thrown was 26. Keep trying. |
