The Saints come Marching in..
This is a huge game for both teams, a 3-0 start vs the NFC would be great for us.
The Saints have been very up and down this season as has Jameis Winston who has 2 games where he has an above 80 Passing grade and also 2 where he's under 50.. The key is getting pressure on him , that's when the TO's happen. Can we stop AK41? That will be the big ? Can the offense continue to put up points? The Saints D is pretty damn good. This is a toss up game IMO |
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Ready for this?
Us 27 Them 13 For the first time since 1991 both our offense and defense show up for the same game. You heard it here first. |

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Both teams are up and down every other week. They were down last week and got rolled by the Giants and we were sort of up by pulling out a W. (You could argue we really haven’t played well yet even in our two wins.). In any event, we have to hope that the trend ends for both teams.

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Interesting game. Are the Saints the team in week 1 that beat the Packers 38-3 or the team that lost to the Giants in OT last week.
Reading the room in one of their fan forums ... seems eerily similar to us. Lots of questions and doubt, but happy enough to be 2-2 given the circumstances. https://saintsreport.com/forums/saints-super-forum-main-board.2/ Saints are slightly favored (-1.5) Home game for us 48% percent chance of rain at 1 pm kickoff Our field has been a none issue this year which is great. I think Danny FINALLY paid to have it re-sodded this summer |

Sean P. Will eat this staff for breakfast. I'm not hopeful.

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
The Washington Football Team has played on the same grass field at FedEx Field since 1997. At times, it has looked more like dirt and spray paint.
The team, though, will begin replacing the grass and more than a foot of soil at FedEx Field this week, TheAthletic.com reports. The project will take approximately two months, and team officials expect the new grass to hold up through the end of Washington’s lease at the stadium in 2027. “We’ve resodded more often, and we’ve done other things strategically to improve the surface, and it’s gotten better the last couple of years,” Chris Bloyer, the team’s senior vice president for operations and guest experience, told TheAthletic.com. “But this is really a big move in the direction of a vast improvement. Let’s say they were not baby steps, but close, in how it was getting better year over year the last few years. This is a significant renovation and will be much different.” The project, led by head groundskeeper Pete Benevento, will remove 5,000 cubic yards of soil. That will fill 500 dump trucks, per TheAthletic.com, and take the field down to the heating system. Workers then will install more than 2 miles of drainage pipe and a new irrigation system. Washington will use the same GameOnGrass, a type of proprietary Bermuda grass developed by Carolina Green, as the Eagles, Chiefs and Titans have in their stadiums. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/05/17/washington-putting-in-new-grass-at-fedex-field/ Im convinced (without any proof) that the League mandated Snyder to come out of pocket and finally do this. |

Lol. I wish. If the fuckin Giants can beat em on the road we can beat em at home right? Since week one Winston has not looked like the heir apparent, and honestly even bad defenses have a good game from time to time. |
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Hopkins concerns me. If that mother fucker misses an ep or a chip shot he needs to be yanked the fuck off the field forever.

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Don't know why they just didn't put down field turf years ago.
|
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
This is a code dark red/purple game. No chance in hell we beat KC. Don't want to be 2 games under .500 going into the GB matchup.

Lol. I did preface it with a warning of sorts. Also I Aint putting money on that prediction. It is low risk high reward Chief. |
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Danielle Jones put up 400 on these guys I think TH can have some success.

This concerns me more than Hopkins. But Hopkins man when you are a team who isn’t capable of blowing teams out kicker just becomes important. |
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Defense finally shows signs, forces three Jameis turnovers. Was 24, NO 20.
|
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
New kicker added to the PS. Didn't we have one already on the PS?
@NickiJhabvala The Washington Football Team is signing K Chris Blewitt to the practice squad, per source. Also, cue in the "blew it" joke. |
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
That poor guy could be the next Justin Tucker and if he misses one important field goal forget it.
|
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Really, that's the best they could find... Blewitt?
We are destined to fail. |
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Well, they were considering signing Nick Shank and Bobby Doink, but they were unavailable.

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Im convinced that in the future teams will carry 1 guy to kick and punt for that extra roster spot.
Would have saved us Moreland this year, Nate Sudfeld a few years ago. Justin Tucker was apparently a punter and kicker at Texas. Ravens had that international guy who punt and kicked, traded to vikes then cut. |

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Hopkins has no confidence in himself. He wouldn't have a job had we lost that game.
I think Ron has to make a move. You can't have a kicker missing two PAT's in one game. Plus the game was in a zome. That was inexcusable. There may not be a more bottom line position in football than kicker. You either make the kicks or you don't. We are a get right kinda defense for opposing offenses that are struggling. But they're not as good a team now that Brees is gone. I think we get this one in a high scoring game. |
Re: The Saints come Marching in..
John Keim
@john_keim · Oct 4 Rivera said Saahdiq Charles will be active Sunday vs. New Orleans. Also said Khaleke Hudson will get more chances at LB with Bostic out. |

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Let’s get off to a good start. I feel we can beat the Saints, and Winston is certainly a turnover prone qb multiple times a game.
I ready to see Hudson and more of the Rook with Bostic out. Need to get St Juse back on the field too. I want to see the leak out JD Mck play where TH throws back across the field become part of the playbook. Def a zone buster play. |

Absolutely. Throw in Curtis Samuel - can also operate out of the backfield and obviously as a deep threat - could be quite a trio of dual threat guys. |

I believe the Jets signed Uprietz. But the Lions have stashed Whitby D. Phuk on their practice squad and he's available. |
