Game Ball!!
Mine goes to Antonio Brown. Game changing kick return for a TD. Felt like crying for him. A few weeks ago he was busy with his fantasy team on the couch. 'Great story there' as Gibbs would say and truly it is. Great play by the special teams and Brown.
Runner up would be Clinton Portis and the OL for that final first down late in the game. |
Re: Game Ball!!
The defensive unit.Won the game fpr us!!!
|
Re: Game Ball!!
guys on d
Shawn springs entirely shut fitz down. Pierson played a great game Taylor was dominant Marshall and rogers played solid games and no one was bad, NOT EVEN THE ADE!!!! |

Re: Game Ball!!
I'd have to give it to Taylor (sean not jacobs). 7-8 tackles? 1 int 1 ff and that stop on the 2 yard line was something you dont get out of most safeties.
|
Re: Game Ball!!
Antonio Brown... he won the game for us
|
Re: Game Ball!!
Antonio Brown for getting the score we needed!
|
Re: Game Ball!!
Sean Taylor, 2 crucial stops (game changing) countless bone crushing hits, an int, 5 tackles, forced fumble , actually 2 forced fumbles if you count the time JJ Arrington was so scared of taylor pursuing him he drops it before ST gets there.
|
Re: Game Ball!!
I give it to Antonio Brown. He played bigger than himself.
As for Mr. Taylor [Sean] he packed his brown paper bag lunch full of whop-ASS and smacked folks in their mouth like he does all the time. He's a killer for sure and I want to toast his weekly constant punishmentof other teams for sure. But, AB saved our booty. |
Re: Game Ball!!
Portis and the o-line get mine, without them our offense would've been doomed from the start because of the way brunell played. Runners up include:
Antonio Brown - awesome return Sean Taylor - he made critical plays too, 1 int, 1 forced fumble, several big hits, several tackles. Our d - they kept pace with our offense turning the ball over by keeping in the game getting turnovers themselves, they stepped up when we needed it most too. |
Re: Game Ball!!
Without Antonio Brown, we lose this game. Period.
|
Re: Game Ball!!
why no poll on this one. Can someone add it?? I would be interested if it is brown or taylor
|
Re: Game Ball!!
Sean Taylor...6 tackles, 1 int., 1 forced fumble. Tackle on 4th and 2 that gave Skins the ball w/ 2:03 to play.
|
Re: Game Ball!!
Antonio Brown hands down.
|
Re: Game Ball!!
1. Antonio Brown (<- got my vote)
2. Sean Taylor 3. Clinton Portis I'll also add that Ade Jimoh made a great open field tackle late in the 4th quarter when the Cards had a big 3rd down. I honestly said wow what a great open field tackle out loud. Then I immediately thought of the Ade Jimoh fan club. Its only 1 play but it was a great one. Im not sure it makes up for the previous bad ones, but it was a step in the right direction. So here Ade Jimoh :biggthump good job. |
Re: Game Ball!!
Antonio Brown for the kickoff return for the TD and Sean "I always hit hard" Taylor for that stop on 4th down.
|
Re: Game Ball!!
IMO Portis, Taylor, and Brown all deserves peices of the game ball but the biggest one goes to Brown. That return fully swung the momentum onto our side and it's made even sweeter by the fact that as others have mentioned, he was sitting at home on sundays a month ago. Taylor was an absolute beast today, as was our entire defense. I loved that hit from Rogers on Boldin when Boldin went up in the air for a catch and Rogers absolutely blew him up and knocked him a couple yards back. And Portis did his part with the ball in his hands as well as when the ball was in the hands of Brunnel in pass protection.

Re: Game Ball!!
Portis for doing exactly what was expected of him every game, including this one.
and not just this one. |

Especially the part about THE ADE! That was sweet to see. I'd also add that I thought Pierson Prioleau had a really good game today. Probably his best as a Redskin |
Re: Game Ball!!
It was close, but I gave it to Sean Taylor. More than the hits and int., his presence was felt and he was constantly in the Cards backfield forcing plays.
How about the rook, Carlos Rogers? He's certainly coming along. |
Re: Game Ball!!
I went with Portis.
He's our offense right now, I absolutely loved that TD run. One hand on Sellers back steering him down the field, stumbling and finally jumping to stretch the ball out over the goal line. |
Re: Game Ball!!
Taylor gets the nod, but it's a tough choice.

He's just going to get better with age (which is a scary proposition!). |

Was it Evans who had a sack? Prioleau played great and honestly I wouldn't mind seeing him play Harris's spot more often. Brown's kickoff return for a TD. Just a lot of great play from people whose names aren't called that often. |
Re: Game Ball!!
Brown, if he does not run that kick back the skins lose to the worst team in nfl history.
|
Re: Game Ball!!
I gave my game to Portis, mainly because I've been critical of his running style. He has come through in the last two weeks. He is performing like the top 5 back his is being paid to be. Antonio Brown's return didn't go unnoticed. I was running through the Sports Bar with him. Accuse me of taking Sean Taylor for granted, but I expect him to blow people up every week. The dude is a monster. I noticed that most teams shy away from running crossing patterns against the Skins...I wonder why? I can't wait for next week. Hopefully Arrington, Samuels and Springs will be healthy for the GIRLS.

Re: Game Ball!!
"I'm running downfield and all of a sudden I feel him on the waist of my pants," Sellers said of Portis. "He was just directing me this way or that way, and I told him I would take care of it. He knew with me blocking for him, ain't nobody going to try to take me out."
I just love hearing quotes like this... |
Re: Game Ball!!
Mine goes to Taylor. Dude was all over the field yesterday.

Re: Game Ball!!
anyone having a hard time picking the Game Ball recepient for this game should look here:
http://www.skinsfanatic.com/videos.html THANKS SKINS FANATIC welcome back Antonio, you were missed, but it takes more than one awesome play to get a game ball from me. it takes many great ones throughout the whole game. |

Evans also provided the brief block on Brown's KO return that bounced the closest card away from brown and let Antonio run up the crease created. and I just realised: post #2,000 WOOOHOOOO :dallas: :dallas: |
Re: Game Ball!!
:dallas: 'Antonio Brown was the star of the afternoon, his 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown was the difference in Sunday's win. The signature moment of the game was Brown blowing kisses down the sideline as he raced into the end zone.
"That's Antonio Brown," said backup cornerback Ade Jimoh. "When you can run a 4.2 40 off of the couch, you can do anything you want." ' http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/12/AR2005121201620.html :dallas: |
The punters were FANTASTIC!!!:woot:
|
Re: Game Ball!!
i said portis but in all reality it should go to brown sealed with a kiss.
there were some others but these are the ones who stood out when we needed them the most. |
