Anyone from SF is a good hire. That organization has been legit for a decade now.

Re: Adam Peters Hired as New Head of Football Operations
As GM, not head of football operations, Mayhew is going next then
Nicki Jhabvala Peters's title will be GM. The status and titles of others in Washington's front office will be discussed in the coming days.
|

Wow impressed by this. Peters sounds like the real deal for sure. Love hearing this. Going to be a fun and eventful offseason.

Mayhew is in the Rivera mold - nice guy, unremarkable talent evaluator. I wish him well. So glad to have a legitimate talent evaluator running the show.

Solid hire. Let's get to work and get a coach.

Re: Adam Peters Hired as New Head of Football Operations
Good info from Albert Breer:
@AlbertBreer "The Commanders have agreed to terms with Adam Peters to be GM, but the contract isn't signed yet. They'll evaluate current GM Martin Mayhew (who AP worked with in San Francisco), exec Marty Hurney, and the scouting dept. in the coming days. Some wiggle room on titles ... ... But the idea in naming Peters, a younger exec, GM and not president of football ops could be to create the chance to promote him again down the line if things go well. Either way, Peters will lead the football operation." |

And numerous playoff runs where we won 5-8 to end the season only to get bounced in the first round in noncompetitive games! Sorry, this is supposed to be a happy thread. Bring back the glory days Mr. Peters! |
