Re: WFT Free Agency Plan
I’d prefer a plan to bring in a FA WR to compliment Terry and not pay a guy to be the defacto number 1. I think that’s a perfect world scenario where Terry continues his path towards a top 5 receiver in the league
Absolutely, Terry IS a WR1. We do not want another top WR feeling "unappreciated" because Terry gets more action than him. I could see that happening with a Golladay or Smith-Schuster. He just needs help. Harmon and Cam Sims will help, but they're not going to get McLaurin into single coverage. Curtis Samuel or Will Fuller would be a better choice to me. Spend that big money on a LT and a LB, or better yet, locking up some of our D-line long term while we can. |

JP
I believe that is just betting odds. Handicappers handicap how they think the wagering will go, not what they think will actually happen in sports. They don't think that a whole lot of people are going to wager that Golladay signs with WFT. |

JP
I'm fine with it. Let Ron set his targets, if teams want to outbid us let them. Our approach last year worked out well imo. |
Re: WFT Free Agency Plan
Yeah man, let all the overpriced free agents settle in to their new teams, then swoop in hours later and go bargain shopping to fill out the team needs, including signing some of our own. I like the approach.

Re: WFT Free Agency Plan
My updated shopping list:
WR - Curtis Samuel TE - Gerald Everett LB - Jayon Brown CB - Malcolm Butler |
Re: WFT Free Agency Plan
Booger Mcfarland - Washington can compete for the NFC with Fitzpatrick and that defense

I was thinking about him last week, but too expensive? I'd be looking at Jackson from Cincy for a more friendly deal, but if they got Gilmore that's definitely making up for losing Darby. |

You see Tess, when you score more points than the other team you win |

@JPFinlayNBCS · 12h Ron Rivera last week: "I’d love to get a guy with the skillset of Kevin Pierre-Louis, whether it’s Kevin or someone else. I’d love to have Kevin back. He did a lot of good for us, played well, did a lot of good things, got a lot better down the line." KPL just signed w Houston ---------------------------------------------- If the game plan was resign our own .. well that was a lie. Darby and KPL should have been resigned at their reasonable rates. If the game plan was to upgrade positions through FA .. our lie detector test determined that was a lie as well. Re: WFT Free Agency Plan
Ron and company did a great job bargain hunting in FA last year. How about we give him the benefit of the doubt?

I was being a bit over dramatic .. but starting CB has become a major need now. I would have matched the 3/30 for Darby and pursue William Jackson. I trust RR .. but Im starting to wonder if he and his old school buddies are applying an old school approach to a new school of cap and FA. With the low cap this year, us in better cap position than most and the cap taking off after this year ... I think we may be behind the times. |
