Redskins preseason schedule
This is from JLC.
Redskins Insider - Preseason Opponents Set (Update 2)
Posted at 1:14 PM ET, 03/30/2009 Preseason Opponents Set (Update 2) Opponents for each week of the preseason schedule have just been released by the NFL in conjunction with the national TV schedule for preseason. So far, only two dates/time are definitive for the Skins. Week 1 -- Aug. 13 Washington at Baltimore 7:30 p.m. (Ch. 4, Comcast) Week 2 -- Aug. 20-24 Pittsburgh at Washington (Ch. 4, Comcast) Week 3 -- Aug. 28 New England at Washington, 8 p.m. (CBS) Week 4 -- Sept. 3-4 Washington at Jacksonville (Ch. 4, Comcast)
I think this is actually a good thing, as the tough competition should expose what areas need to be worked on before the season starts. |

Cut it out all together, or at least down to only two meaningless games! It's pointless who we play if we play the starters but two series, or only a half, and end up watching scrubs for the ticket money paid. |
Re: Redskins preseason schedule
We have one nationally televised preseason game.
Friday, Aug. 28 New England Patriots at Washington Redskins CBS (8 p.m. ET) |
Re: Redskins preseason schedule
Sounds good, forget the competition but 3 games are around the DC area.

Re: Redskins preseason schedule
This is fantastic, all great defenses which is useful in testing the offense.
|
Re: Redskins preseason schedule
If our first team offense sucks big time against these defenses, I don't want to hear any "it's OK, it's only preseason" crap from the coaching staff. I expect a decent showing from the offense, and if our 1st team o-line does well against these defense, then they should fare well during the regular season (even the Giants, who some people feel are going to blow us right out of the water).

Re: Redskins preseason schedule
Lemme do this right and post this in the existing thread.
Hey. I learn. * Redskins 2009 Preseason Schedule: (Premature) Release March 30, 2009 It only lasted a few seconds, but I caught a whiff of football today. Aug 13 @Baltimore 7:30PM Aug 20-24 vs.Pittsburgh Aug 28 vs.New England 8PM Sept 3-4 @Jacksonville Funny how the mind works. With the release of the Redskins 2009 preseason schedule, barely a ripple in the vast football ocean, within about in a ten-second span my mind went through a process something like this: Damn–that’s four tough-ass games. Let’s see ... three monster defenses, one prime-time date with Tom “Allow Me To Demonstrate How I’m Still Damn Terrific” Brady. I smell 1-3. At Baltimore. Better hope Colt (Brennan, for the uninitiate) runs around and makes second-half magic or we may get shut out. Be pretty cool to see Haynesworth get a series though. I just want to hear his name called once. Then get him the hell out of there. The Ravens will want it more though. Show they don’t miss Ryan’s kid. Home crowd. Opener. Just get out healthy Zorn. Steelers here, huh? FedEx will be half Pittsburgh fans, half Redskins fan in a foul mood about it. Got Mace ...? You are correct. I have the NFL package but they usually show preseason games later in the week. I hate that redzone channel thing... |
Re: Redskins preseason schedule
I can't wait. Any excuse I get to sit around and cook wings and faijitas is good for me. Yeah the games don't count but it's still my team. It's a good thing we're playing these tough SOBs. We can really see what we have before it does count.

It doesn't matter if you have the NFL ticket or not, ( I do), preseason games are not broadcasted via the sunday ticket. If you live out of market, as I do, you hope for nationally televised games, or hope it is picked up on NFL network. |
Re: Redskins preseason schedule
All I'm cheering for is No Injuries! I would hate to see Haynesworth do what Jason Taylor did last year.
