PLUS, we need to petition the Pro Football Hall of Fame to waive that silly waiting period rule and that nonsensical business about having to be retired before one can be enshrined there... :bdh:

That’s GREAT news!

Shawnbrey started out with the Chargers this year, and I really hoped he could stick it out.

He’s a bit undersized to be a full time back, but as a 3rd down back (pass blocking, catching passes out of the backfield) he should really excel. His biggest problem is that he came out of college a year too early. From what we can tell from the SMU fan point of view, there were two reasons for this: 1. His mom is very sick and he needed the quick cash, and 2. He was in academic jeopardy and might not have been eligible to play this year if he had stayed.

If anyone can get the full potential out of him, it’s Shanarat, so I really hope he gets a shot on the field.

Geez -- look at the holes he had to run through. I think we should track down Shawnbrey's OL from college and sign a couple of them. In many of these plays, he's not getting touched as guys aren't even near him.
