1. He was kept on because he has
extraordinary ability in identifying NFL talent.
2. As long as he stayed in his office watching film and making spreadsheets he could be tolerated because Snyder wanted the benefit of his extraordinary talent.
3. RR does
not have all the powers he was promised by Snyder. That's right, I said Snyder lied to him to get him on board. It's a standard business practice. Did it ever happen to you? It happened to me.
4. Snyder didn't fire him but his punishment was that he would
never be promoted to GM as long as Snyder owns the team.
