Not to rehash that whole situation, but he knew not having a lt on the team would be debilitating...and he used that, and Moses backed it. Like...f>×_ the team...he should get that money. That's all I meant.
This does seem like financial planning for the year after this, though.
Regardless....he is not irreplaceable. Haven't been a fan of his for a while now, honestly. Can't stress enough....those penalties
I never interpreted Trent situation as him just holding team hostage for money.
He almost died from what he perceives to be a misdiagnosis.
While I think he felt underpaid, stop and really ponder if it would really be all about money for you if team told you no problem, and then you had to have a brain tumor removed! That's FAR more important to Trent than retiring with $30M more in bank when he's already worth $50M+ at that point. I think he honestly felt he would never trust existing medical staff and FO again, and I don't blame him.

We can't know Washington's side because of HIPAA confidentiality, they are NOT allowed to disclose private medical info. Pro athletes are usually uneducated (despite having college degrees) with low IQs. It is entirely possible situation was explained to Trent correctly and he misinterpreted. Nonetheless, when you look at case history, right up to today with Allen BS, Trent's side is hardly ridiculous. Is there anyone besides Gibbs who has left Washington that hasn't been smeared or cornholed by THE DAN? Could be more systemic incompetency poor culture than some Dr. Evil let's kill Trent scenario. I mean Jesus, people have been complaining about our turf for a decade plus, we're just now doing it.

If they were going to punish Moses punitively, would have been done long before now. THE DAN has eaten millions upon millions to be the petulant turd of a human being he is, eating $20M to cut Moses years ago would have been NO problem. I think it is simply about RR making a smart personnel move. As you observe, penalties, but also getting absolutely destroyed in pass coverage off the edge far too often. He epitomizes our old paper tiger OL. Against better edge rushers he gets exposed. Moses is right siding with Trent, and I have nothing negative to say about his character, work ethic, etc., solely analysis of his play. We have MUCH cheaper players that are better pass blockers, period.
