I think the players know if JC is ready and from what i've heard he isn't. For example, Sellars and Lloyd have recently been on the John Riggins show and stated that MB is their guy and if he goes down, they would want Collins insteade of JC. I'm paraphrasing here, but they stated JC is getting better but not ready to start.

If you go back a couple of years alot of nfl scouts though JC was a "project" at best and wasn't worthy of a 1st round pick. Now, alot of scouts are often proven wrong, but the verdict is still up in the air. I just think the players and the coaches will make the right call on this one.

Hey, i'd like to see what JC can do too, but it says alot when the players don't think he's ready to play.

I am going to say this, Jason Campbell is almost half-way through his second year with this team, and considering the price it's time to find out whether he's ready to play or not. Maybe Sellers and Lloyd could be correct in their asessment, but I wouldn't expect them to say anything anti Brunell at this time. If (and I say if) he's not deemed worthy by now then we really made a complete miscalculation in considering drafting him in the first place. Football is not rocket science, and JC is not going to get any better by sitting behind Brunell. The only way he'll get better is to play, and in the minds of many it's time.
