Blaming Snyder is really a tired excuse that doesn't hold much merit anymore.

Matty, we are usually on the same page when it comes to Redskins related thoughts, but I got to disagree with you here. Snyder sets the overall tone for the organization and since he has bought the team that tone has been a lack of patience, focus and accountability. It trickles down from the very top and other than the year that Schottenheimer was here it's always been 'his' show.
As much as I revere Gibbs, he is still caught up in the Snyder atmosphere that surrounds the team. This offseason, as much as I hate to agree with the mediots, was classic Snyder. They went out and got parts they didn't need (Archuleta) or don't fit (Carter) and screwed up what was working on being a good thing. ARE is a solid contributor and I think Lloyd, if thrown the ball, will be as well but the other players have unquestionably HURT the team.
Brunell is all on Gibbs because you know if that were up to Snyder, Campbell would have been starting a long time ago, but our problems are bigger than the QB position. We have no identity, no depth, seemingly no plan on how we are going to approach a game and leave with a win. Relying on 'talent' gets you to 5-11 in the NFL. How that can not be traced back to Snyder, setting the tone, and Cerrato, who runs the scouting department, is lost on me.
