It's a non-call that you do see now and then.
Last year in the Chicago-Carolina playoff game, Rex Grossman threw an INT when the snap clearly came after the play clock expired. Chicago fans were crying afterward that their team wasn't flagged for delay of game. That brings up a point - might a team be able to challenge non-calls for delay of game if one of the end zone cameras can catch both the play clock and the snap of the ball? Between that non-call, the line judge missing Brees's illegal forward pass (initially), and the umpire eating his flag when Andre Carter got tackled from behind by a Saints O-lineman, I was wondering about this crew giving the Saints more than their share of a home-field advantage.
