John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the New England Patriots and free-agent WR Randy Moss are not close to agreeing on a contract and Moss is starting to listen to offers from other teams, according to a source. It is not known how many teams and which teams contacted him.

Michael Smith, of ESPN.com, reports the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms with free-agent DL Justin Smith (Bengals) on a six-year deal worth $45 million, with $20 million in guarantees.
