Well, there's also the business side of this. Snyder can make a lot of money on Hall, so he will be back. Question is, does Snyder intelligently use the leverage that he knows how badly hall needs us, and make him resign for a shorter, nickelbacks type deal, or does he fail to use his leverage, and pay Hall whatever he wants.
The former gives us another, (I'll go against my better judgement and say) quality defensive back. The latter, gives us an overpaid defensive back who will be impossible to bench if his level of play declines.
Good teams pay the first contract, bad teams pay the second. It's time to see how much the FO learned from the Gibbs era. Because Hall is going to be here next year no matter what.
If Snyder is really scared of the open market, he should use the transition tag on Hall. Gives us the right of first refusal.
