Doesn't matter how quick it is when a little under half the time he misses the target. So no I don't believe Vick has a good release in a game situation. Now if you want to impress a scout with how much velocity you can put on a football then fine he has an amazing release, but it's like getting a rocket launcher without a targeting system.

Anyway I will never respect a true mobile QB until they can put up respectable passing numbers. Most of the mobile QB's that have become successful almost always evolved into pocket passers; Steve Young, McNabb, McNair, heck even Cunningham eventually reached his peak when he became a pocket passer. In the end the fact remains, a football travels much faster down the field then any QB can run.
