Shanahan completely mishandled this from the beginning of the season. If the guy was such a malcontent, you can either:
A) Accept whatever you can get in a trade, or if you aren't offered the value you desire,
B) Play the guy to build more acceptable trade value.
The first mistake was Snyderato giving the fat turd $30M+ in the first 15 months, but not accepting a 4th rounder, then deactivating Haynesworth in a third of the games is just plain stupid. In hindsight, cutting him for nothing on Sept 1st would have been far more productive than cutting him now.
