I'm going to have to stick by the keep both Cooley and Davis train of thought:
A) Like others have said, TE isn't a hard position to fill for a lot of teams, thus, we would not be looking at getting a lot in return for either player.
B) Cooley is much more than just a skilled all-around TE. He's also a good leadership influence on this team. Maybe not a London Fletcher, but it's good to keep guys who have been with the team for 7+ years. Nobody seems to be taking that into their evaluations.
C) There's this thing called depth... just having one good player at a position doesn't always cut it
D) I really like that having both of them lets us exploit mismatches when one matches up better against a secondary than the other.
