Sorry to pick on you but this the classic uninformed and illogical mentality that exists.

When did the players EVER say they didn't want to play? Remember, they were locked out and the league could have ended the lockout at a moment's notice if they chose to.

Secondly, the owners are not allowed to use replacement players because, again, THEY initiated this work stoppage.

Finally, of all of the major (and minor) sports, football players are the most educated with all of them attending at least 3 years of post high school education. No other sport comes close to that. Most players turn into viable and productive members of society after their playing days are done.

I'm so glad football will be back next week so we can be rid of these inane conversations.
