I don't take away the feeling of Irsay trying to get Peyton to retire. Unlike this current topic on this thread, it seems to me that the writing is on the wall in Indy and Peyton is no longer in the Colt's plan.
He hired a defensive minded coach (who btw would probably would have loved to work with PM), fired the trainer he was working with, fired the GM who built the team, fired the head coach who was one of the last parts of the Dungy guard, and signed him to a deal a year ago that looked huge at the time but could be torn up after a year with out any repercussions. Seems to me the writing is on the wall that he is set to be released.
It also seems to me that the Colts had a good idea that PM was injured worse then they let on to the media and that they don't see him being able to return to the football field.
