Both of these options can bring big rewards and they have their risks, just like anything else in the NFL. Voice of reason! Very good point. I think I haven't been looking at it that way simply because I'm fearful of PM signing more than it excites me. You're absolutely right though, regardless of what QB decisions are made, mgmt. got in a good position to do something.
