Doughty will be on the roster. Despite his lacking coverage skills, he's one of the surest tacklers in the NFL statistically. He rarely misses a tackle.

Tanard Jackson, unfortunately has been one of the worst-tackling safeties in the NFL for 3 years. He's missed 43 tackles in the last 3 seasons, with 114 tackles. Look at that ratio! In 2011, Tanard attempted 57 tackles and missed 24 of them!

Reed's decent as a backup. We've just had to use him as a starter though, a role he's not up for.
While looking at stats, D-Hall and Cedric Griffin are two of the better run-stop CBs in the league.

I know Tanard Jackson has some playmaking ability that Doughty lacks, but his tackling stats scare me. I'm hoping someone can really step up to be a solid backup. Whether it's Doughty, Gomes or Barnes, I don't care, but if we're relying on Tanard Jackson to save us, we're going to be cursing a lot this season. He appears to be one of the worst tacklers in the league.
