This offseason will be entire new territory for Bill though, I think him trying to develop a young qb will be one of the toughest tests of his coaching career. Or maybe he can turn someone else's trash into treasure. I'd put higher odds on that happening than him developing a young qb.

I think what gets lost in this narrative is that Brady was pretty much actively opposed at the team developing a QB to eventually replacing him. Hence why Garoppolo was shipped out to SF.
The team also foolishly pinned their hopes in trying to keep Brady, even though he had re-worked his contract the year before he left in a way that would allow him to walk out.
