Shanahan Will Be Fired

The Redskins overachieved last season mainly because of the dynamic offense. The defense has always been trash and Haslett never was a good defensive coordinator.

This year, the offense is a different story. RG3 clearly won't be the dynamic player he was last year and will run a lot less. The read option will not be used as much. Much of RG3's success opened the way for Alfred Morris success, but this year it appears neither of them will repeat what was done last year. The WR's are still suspect with Hankerson dropping passes and our "#1" wide receiver struggling to get open at times. The offensive line is being exposed as not being that good. It was hidden with the fact that RG3 scrambled alot and the read option confused teams.

So in effect, we will have a mediocre offense and a terrible defense that can't stop the run or cover in the secondary. The team will miss the playoffs and Snyder will be forced to fire Shanahan because of his loyalty to Haslett and the obvious direction of the team going backwards. It's something about Shanahan and his loyalty to terrible defensive coordinators. The same thing happened when he was fired from Denver for keeping Bob Slowik.
