What Happened to Mike Espy?
I saw him slip and fall on a cut in the second half and he just looked like he was out cold, then saw the cart come out to take him to the locker room. I haven't heard any diagnosis on him. Anyone know?

Re: What Happened to Mike Espy?
As much as I liked this this kid this isn't a big injury. We have 4 WR's with tons of experience that were going to play over him anyway. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for this kid to be healthy and get some experience but it isn't a pressing injury for the team as a whole. All we need is a solid special team, with decent speed, and decent hands to firm up the position. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Corey Bradford win the job since has experience and can supply the above lists characteristics.
The real question is...what are we going to do to still fill D.Dockery's spot. So far, no one has looked good or stepped up to fill his shoes. Likewise, Jansen hasn't looked good either. I know come week one J.Jansen will be ready to go but he has me worried with his play thus far in the regular season. Anyone else agree? |

Re: What Happened to Mike Espy?
I think in terms of impact it may not be a big injury but come on dude, this guy is trying hard to make the roster and has played good this and last preseason. I feel bad for the guy to go out like that. Have a little sympathy.

Re: What Happened to Mike Espy?
As I said in my previous post, I would have loved to have the kid on the team. However, he wouldn't have made a big impact. And you're right, he has earned an opportunity to try and prove himself. It sucks for him this year. I wish McAddley was better then he is...he has the size that every QB likes.

Re: What Happened to Mike Espy?
You hate to see the young man's season cut short before it even starts, but at least it wasn't Jason Campbell. The Steelers have a penchant for that low blow crap just ask Carson Palmer and the Bengals.

Re: What Happened to Mike Espy?
I still would rather see them use the following:
1. Moss 2. ARE 3. Lloyd 4. Thrash 5. Bradford |

Re: What Happened to Mike Espy?
just say no to Pinkston. no way he makes the team. and while i feel for espy, it is no loss. i don't think he was going to make it anyway

Re: What Happened to Mike Espy?
Absolutely the worst time in his career he would have to deal with a season ending injury. It could easily be a nfl career ending injury. That really sucks for him because he had been building a solid relationship within the organization and now he might be back at square one. Get well Mike.

Re: What Happened to Mike Espy?
Robert Ferguson would be interesting, but I could see him being Lloyd #2. He has the potential to be so much better than he is.
