Campbell will now stay away from Redskins Park

Fantasy Football Breaking News - Rotoworld.com

Redskins Insider - Jason Campbell will work out away from Redskins Park

These two articles really tell the story and make me think that a trade is coming. This move to me, says that Jason really wants out of Washington now and a deal has to be expected very soon for him to not even have anything to do with the training facility.

i really want to know what was said yesterday at lunch between JC and Shanny. this is certainly a response to what has transpired in the last 48 hours.

I heard that Shanahan gave Jason the option to stay on as the unquestioned backup quarterback for what would be his final year as a redskin, and try and learn as much as he could from McNabb,

OR

If he didn't like that option, the team would do their best to trade him to a team where he will get a fair shot at starting. I'm assuming that if they can't deal him, he will be released, if he does not agree to the idea of being McNabb's backup.

Seeing that he is now staying away from the facility, he is either trying to force their hand at a quick trade, or trying to get released so he can sign with whoever he wants...

Shanahan said JC was forthright and basically asked if he was at liberty to go find a team that would want him as a starting QB and Shanahan told him yes if he could find one they would entertain talks. Otherwise JC will be just another QB on our list come day one if he can't.

In other news, the sun rose this morning and it will set at dusk. LOL.

Alright, let me stop being an a-hole. This is not surprising, glad to see that the Redskins appear to be giving Campbell the chance to go and compete elsewhere.

No need to be classless about it, it's not like the Redskins gave Jason (or any player) any opportunity to win.

I will take a shot at this... Absolutely nothing. No meaningful regular season games and no playoff games.

Sure only if you can tell me how many times Campbell got hit last year (I lost count at 20 per game). And how many offensive coordinators he has had (I think its five). Its kind of hard to keep track so I would appreciate some help.

According to NFL.com, the Redskins quarterbacks were hit a total of 97 times.

The Jaguars took 126 hits.

Other notable teams include the Packers (93), Cardinals (93), Texans (92).

I hear ya, I do wish Vinny/Snyder would have given him more help, but I think he had his chance after 5 years. I think for him and the Skins best move is split...wish JC the best...good luck, and hope he learns to check down less and make a play

JC had a tough go of things here but that's how shit goes sometimes. He'll land on his feet somewhere.
