Just to be clear Soup, this is what we are talking about Section 2. Number of Choices and Eligibility: (a) The Draft shall consist of seven rounds, with each round consisting of the same number of selection choices as there will be Clubs in the NFL the following League Year, plus a maximum number of additional Compensatory Draft Selections equal to the number of Clubs then in the League, with such Compensatory Draft Selections reserved for Clubs losing certain Unrestricted Free Agents. Each Draft shall be held between February 14 and May 2, on a date which shall be determined by the Commissioner. http://nflpa.org/pdfs/Agents/CBA_Amended_2006.pdf (page 35)

yes we could get a pick or should get one. Of course since were not Philly or NE we probably will get a 7th rounder instead of a 3rd

the eagles get a bunch because they don't sign outside FAs, they only lose their own guys to FA. when you lose a guy but bring in 2 more, you're not going to get anything worth having from the comp pick committee. don't expect anything.

Certain Unrestricted Free Agents? Which ones count for conpensatory picks and which ones don't? Sounds like fuzzy logic to me. | |
