It has been a while since I've posted to The Warpath because I've been a bit frustrated with the season so far. I have been checking up on here to see what the vibe has been among fans as the season has progressed. As I was driving home I was listening to the John Thompson show on 980 and was touched by all the Redskins fans that were calling in with tears in their eyes and sadness in their voice. It is just incredible to me that for many of us, this team and the guys on the team are more than just people we watch on TV - we actually develop a sort of connection with them through the things we read and discuss. I wanted to take some time and simply express my condolences. Right now none of this is about football really, it is about a tragedy and I really hope and pray for the best. |

Pedro Taylor (Sean's dad) sounded nothing but positive. Talked about all the good work the police/hospital staff are doing. Said that Sean is a fighter, and he has full confidence he'll be okay. As a police chief you could tell it wasn't the first time he'd given an interview. My goodness does Sean look like his father. Vinny looked very upbeat after the positive news. Said doctors seemed very encouraged by the news, and reiterated how much all the support from the team players, family, and fans is appreciated. It was a pretty quick segment, but all positive.

Eagles fans overall haven't been bad on their official message board. But then you have genius posts like these: Quote:

Thank goodness for ComCast Sports Network (or whatever they call it...CSN?). Here in Atlanta I'd typically be at the mercy of the internet, NFLN, ESPN, or even the radio for news updates. But upon arriving home from work tonight, all I had to do was flip on CSN and I got live local updates. Those of you that don't live in the D.C. area should check to see if you can get it where you live. Of course this wonderful blog has been my main source of info. Redskins Warpath rules!

If Taylor ever returns to the field, prior to the Eagles game someone should send him a package of all the posts from Eagles fans that wish him death. From what I've seen, the Giants posts have been equally classy. Talk about never needing help to be motivated to play, having large portions of a city wishing you death would get anybody amped.

You know I really don't wish ill things on other people but the PP guy who said hes going to make fun of the whole situation. REALLY deserves to be beat about the head with a blunt object.
